He had told the gaurds who he was . . . or rather, who he had once been. The Ice Emperor's most trusted sorcerer, one of the most powerful people in the Ice Kingdom. He had the tattoo on the back of his neck to prove it.
He scratched it now that they had brought him to the throne room to wait for the emperor, whether he would come or not was another question. He wished he could rid himself of the damn tattoo, though it did come in handy for making those gaurds think he was still someone very important, rather than the darce he had become.
He had taken IceTalon this time and it hung at his side in the darkest blue sheath. He felt better with it at his side. It had been a while since he had had it there, not the other him, the one that was in control now, the real him. His other side always seemed to leave it behind when he took over again, as if that could stop him from killing anyone. He smirked, right.
As he waited he looked around at everything, his eyes stopping at the throne, sitting so inviting and empty. Oh, the trouble he might be in if someone came in to find him sitting there. He could do for a little trouble though, and frankly didn't care what might happen.
Settling down in it he found it to be not quite as comfortable as he thought it might be, but he liked the vantage point, overlooking everything else in the room. This was what he really wanted. He swung his legs over one arm of the chair and leaned back against the other, Yes . . . I could get used to this.
After watching Syrus enter, she waited a while longer and decided to try and follow him in. She had told the gaurds she was with him and had gone back to fetch something he had forgotten. They had been skeptical, she could tell, but eventually decided perhaps she was a maiden from the Ice Kingdom, come to assist Syrus with whatever he might need. She had immediately agreed, taking on a more meek look, the look of a servant just wishing to get back to her master.
They had taken her to the throne room, telling her to just go in, fortunately for Syrus, not going in themselves. She gasped when she saw him, "Syrus . . . what are you doing!?"
he looked over at her, surprised to see her, "Ah . . . hello Princess . . . what brings you here," he smirked over at her.
She only stared at him, "You bring me here, I wanted to make sure you didn't get yourself into trouble! Get off of there . . . -"
"You worry too much, Princess . . . but I'm glad you worry about me-"
"Not you . . . the other you," she growled, looking around to make sure no one was around, "Syrus-"
"Oh, now that one hurt . . . ," he laughed, "I might point to my heart, but I'm afraid I don't have one . . . this heart belongs to my other side. He's the one that loves you, after all." He glared at her as if it was all her fault he even had another side, "It makes me weaker . . . ," he growled to himself, leaning back again to look up at the ceiling high above them, "How did you get in here, anyway?"
She could have killed him for his arrogance, "I told them I was with you . . . they think I'm a maiden from the Ice Kingdom, here to serve you-"
With that he burst out laughing, "Ah, yes . . . so you'll play a meek little girl and do my bidding, will you? Wouldn't that just make everything perfect . . . ," he looked over at her again, there was a hunger in his eyes for her, though he knew he couldn't have her now.
She stiffened, deciding to just ignore him since he wasn't listening to her, then started wondering what they were waiting for . . . .

With Altaire walking beside him, he waled a bit slower of pace, thinking of how long ago it was that he had last seen Syrus, it made him think hard. In one way it sickened him that Syrus had returned to his kingdom, even dare show his face in his throne room, and he know it would be just like him to walk right in and sit upon the throne.
And in another way, he was glad to hear he was around again, and couldnt wait to see his smug and slick face again. Just to laugh in it, it had been so long, just to see this man again, regenerated and invigorated Kye, causing his energy to rise in slight excitement.
He looked down at Altaire, letting her step into the doors first, with Kye to follow, and with Altaires beauty, he knew that perhaps Syrus's eyes would be glued on her like a bee to necter... to even place his sick eyes upon her would make Kye angry, though he somehow knew Syrus would do so anyway.
And with a few more movements, they were inside the throne room, Kye closing the door behind himself quietly. He then casually turned to face Syrus, smirking and grunted a few laughs, "What is it i can help you with. . . Old friend?" he asked with a slight accent of humor to it.

"Ah . . . Kyden . . . ," he didn't bother sitting up or even moving in the slightest, except to turn his gaze to him, noticing the woman beside him, his eyes widening slightly. He decided to prolong answering the question Kye had put forth, decided to have a little fun while he could. He tore his gaze from the girl and looked back at Kye, noticing his face, and a new scar.
"You know . . . this chair isn't quite as comfortable as I thought it would be," he continued, his gaze going back to Altaire, "Who's your new friend?" He took his time, looking her up and down as if she were a piece of meat and he a starving dog.
Selys turned at the voice to watch the two enter, frozen to the spot as if hoping that if she didn't move she wouldn't be noticed. She felt so out of place here, though she couldn't help wondering how Syrus knew this . . . Kyden . . . . She could only guess he was the emperor.
Altaire only stood by Kye's side, glaring at Syrus that he would be so bold as to take the throne and sit there so nonchalantly, then to continue to address Kye as he did and . . . . She just wanted to . . . . Her hands clenched into tight fists as he stared at her, lust so glaringly obvious in his eyes. She didn't care who he was, she wouldn't tolerate him looking at her like that, "Unless you wish to lose your eyes I suggest you never look at me like that again," she snarled, her hand coming to rest on Darkness's hilt and clutch it tightly.
Syrus only chuckled at her response to his staring, "Strong willed, isn't she?" he acted as if she wasn't even there, looking at Kye again, a sadistic little smirk on his face, "Is that the type you go for now, Kye?"

Remaining calm, he glanced to the girl standing rather out of the group, "Altaire," he began, not even looking at her, " would you mind going the girl?.. she seems lost." he chuckled, looking back over sharply to Syrus, reminded of how truely rude he was. "I suggest you do keep your eyes off her, she is mine, and mine only. your teasing is fun, but if you please, what is it you want...?" he said it at a rather calm pace, glancing every now-and-then toward Altaire to make sure she did as he pleased, the only reason, was because she needed distance from Syrus, if she were to remain any closer, Syrus would certainly get ideas... which wouldnt be good at he least. And this meeting would not end well.

Her grip tightened visibly on Darkness's hilt as she continued to glare at Syrus, but as Kye asked her to go to some girl, she looked about, not even realizing there had been another in the room. She glanced back at Syrus, a scowl on her face as she walked away toward the girl, choosing to ignore him now.
As she got closer to her she realized she was young . . . very young, and her gaze softened slightly, She's human . . . , she realized as the girl looked at her, finally realizing she was coming toward her. She had been staring at Syrus, for what reason Altaire did not know.
She stood calmly beside her and gazed at Kye, though spoke to her, softly, "I am not sure I know any more than you, young one, of what is going on right now."
Selys looked up at her, not sure if she was lying or not, though she couldn't see any reason why she would be . . . . She sighed and turned her gaze back to Syrus, Why does his other side have to be like this? He's such a bastard, she thought moodily. Looking back at Altaire she questioned, "Are you going to take me prisoner or something?"
Altaire chuckled, "Not unless I am ordered to, young one. But know this," she finally turned her gaze to the young girl, "I will not harm you, no matter my orders," looking at her this close, she realized how young she really was, So much life yet to live . . . and yet so little, she would hate to be human, dying so quickly . . . before they really even begin to live.
"A bit attached to this one, are you Kye?" his gaze followed her before she came to stand beside Selys and a small bolt of annoyance went through him that she was even here. His violet gaze turning back to Kye, he smirked, "You are just no fun today . . . ," he sighed, as if saddened by the fact, "Very well . . . ," his voice took on a bit harsher note and he finally sat up straight, leaning forward as if he happened to be the emperor and Kye only some villager that he was not overly pleased with, "I came to recieve what was promised to me so long ago, Kye . . . that which I never got from you after all the trouble I went through. The only reward I got for our little exchange has been a life on the run, knowing one wrong move or one day too many resting would cost my life," his eyes narrowed as he looked at Kye, a scowl of disgust coming to his face as he leaned back once more, crossing his legs and leaning on one arm of the chair, his voice a bit softer now, "So are you going to give it to me Kye . . . or do I have to take it from you?"

Kye too became more serious, his face clenching in a bit of upset, "... That was a long time ago, Syrus, and my beloved has already taken your place. You are a few years over due and in the present you cannot have you what you want..." he paused to take a step closer to Syrus, also discusted with him, thinking so nievely as to assume he can walk into a Kingdom and take over everything. "We were once young, and foolish... Now that i am wise, i expect you still remain your pitiful self with you're whorish games." he spit to his feet. "Dishonoring women with the utmost disrespect. And you call yourself a man. I sure its all youll ever live for, Sex? and Power?" he swung his arm swiftly out of anger. "Men who desire, recieve nothing! For i am a man who has been given something great, something only youd take for granted. Now Get Out!" he roared.

His eyes only widened slightly, before narrowing once more in annoyance, "So you've fallen in love, have you . . . ," his voice was still soft as he looked at him, ignoring Kye's fury at him, then he smirked again, his voice raising in the slightest, "And you call me a fool?" he laughed, "Love makes you weaker, Kye . . . I thought you knew that, but I can see it's already worked on you," he growled, even more disgusted now.
He stood, scowling at him and about to say something else when his eyes closed tightly, Not now, damn it! his other side fighting back so strongly, and he had no idea why, then he heard the calls.
"Syrus . . . please . . . let's leave here . . . I don't want you to get hurt! Syrus, please! . . . I know you're still there . . . please!" she called, not wanting Syrus to start a fight with the emperor in his own kingdom, how foolish could one person be?
Altaire looked down at her, her call reflecting so much love and worry, For him? She could not see how anyone could love such a creature as that, then again, she didn't know anything from what she saw beyond this day . . . perhaps he had a softer side? She grunted softly at that thought, right.
"Shut up, woman!" he snarled, his hands coming to his head. Now he knew what his other side always felt like when he took over, No! I will not let you fuck this up for me!
But she continued to call, trying to bring his other side out and she knew it was working as he slid to his knees, "No . . . no!" No this can't happen, not now! Not NOW!
His hands came to grip at the floor, shaking so drastically from his fight with himself, barely even able to hold himself up, "Selys . . . ," he gasped, staring at the floor and not seeing it, exhausted. His vision blurred, turned black, came back and did it all over again. He was fighting with not blacking out completely, he had to know Selys was alright . . . , "Selys . . . ," he gasped again, swaying slightly.
She raced to his side, forgetting the fact that Kye and Altaire were even there. She took his head in her hands and gently made him look up at her, "I'm here, Syrus . . . I'm here . . . ," she pulled him into her arms as he continued to fight to stay awake, but it didn't last long before he was out, Selys gently stroking his hair, kissing his forehead a few times. She knew he had fought to get back for her . . . because of her, "I love you . . . I love you, Syrus," she breathed softly against his forehead, He's so weak . . . . It was then she remembered Kye and Altaire again and she looked up sharply at Kye, "Don't hurt him . . . please . . . ," she hugged him closer, a small light of defiance coming to her eyes, as if she would be able to fight Kye off if he did try to hurt Syrus. SHe knew she could never win against him, ever, but she would die before she let him hurt Syrus . . . .

Kye looked down at him still in discust, even as he lowered to the ground.. though a hint of curiousness flitted upon his face as the girl, known to be, Selys, ran up and hugging him, asking not to hurt him. Who would love such a man. Contentment returned slowly to him, staring at the to of them with a high head. He finally lowered his head, slightly feirce, in words, but physically calm. "What is it that caused this...?" he questioned, his eyes flaring down at them softly. He wanted to know exactly what was going on before he decided to do anything. Kye's head lowered more as he looked her in the eyes, prying into her thoughts simply with his sight.

Altaire was now very confused, having watched all this, What the hell was that? was the only thing she could think. Her gaze moved from Kye to the girl and back again.
"He . . . something happened to him . . . two years ago, I don't know what it was . . . neither does he. He has two sides now, that one that . . . that knew you, and . . . ," her voice softened as she spoke of his caring side, the side she loved, "And this one. This one doesn't remember anything past 2 years ago . . . when I found him . . . I saved him, he was almost dead," she continued to stroke his hair, gazing down at him, hoping he would wake up soon, though knowing after that particular fight with himself, it might be a few days before he did much of anything, "I'm sorry," she murmured to Kye, not really sure what she was sorry for, for anything Syrus had said, or done, or . . . anything. She held him a bit closer, closing her eyes and resting her forehead against his.
Altaire had come up behind Kye to better hear what the girl was saying, her eyes widening slightly at her explaination, So that's how she loves him . . . , she suddenly felt very sorry for the both of them because of this side that Kye knew, the side she loathed after one meeting. She wondered what this other side was like, then wondered what Kye would do with them. Obviously Syrus was in no condition to do anything . . . .

Kye stared as she explained... then looked to Altaire... a fairly stern expression comming upon his face. Speaking firmly, but low and calm. ".. Altaire... get them a room. I wish to see this 'other side' for myself." he snorted, and coldly turned, walking from the throne room. . . He had to think. . . a headache forming the more he thought about things... it made him angry. . . and therefore he wanted to be alone.

She watched him go, wishing she could do something to calm him down, but for now she knew it would just be best to obey his order. She turned and looked down at them both, She loves him so . . . yet she is so young . . . . She shook her head and lightly touched her on the shoulder, making her jump slightly and look up, "We will find you a room to rest in . . . both of you," she spoke softly.
"Thank you . . . ," she looked down at Syrus again, knowing how weak he was . . . perhaps weaker than any fight between his 2 sides had ever left him.
Altaire had a few servants carry Syrus to a room and she followed close behind them with Selys, silent until Syrus had been laid upon the bed and Selys sat lightly beside him, "I will leave you now . . . ," she gazed at them for a moment longer before turning and walking away, hearing Selys call her thanks again, "It was on Kye's order, not mine," she returned, before leaving them, not really sure what she was being thanked for . . . .

Uttering a low, soft groan, his eyes opened to slits before tightly closing again against the pounding in his head like cannonfire. He grunted, turning slightly and feeling a weight beside him. One eye opening slightly, he saw Selys asleep at his side.
His other eye opened slowly, the pounding momentarily forgotten at the sight of her, safe, peaceful, beautiful. He remembered little from what had happened. One moment being locked away in the darkness of his mind, and the next Selys, calling him, a great struggle with himself and finally darkness again.
She . . . brought me back . . . , he thought finally, leaning down before he even knew what he was doing and gently kissing her lips, causing her to stir.
Her eyes opened slowly, only to see Syrus there, so close, awake, "Syrus!" she gasped, her arms wrapping around him, holding him tightly as if to never let him go. For no reason really, tears sprang to her eyes and she started crying into his chest.
"...S-Selys . . . ?" he muttered, confused, but soon his arms came to wrap around her and hold her as tightly as she was him. He heard nearly indistinctive words, repeated a few times until he got the meaning . . . the constant I love you being murmured so softly through her tears and into his chest, "I love you . . . Selys," he whispered, his hold tightening on her in the slightest.

From the time in between this, Kye had been in his study for the first time in years... reorginizing things, his books, journals, and documents for the kingdom... he had forgotten how much he missed this place... his own little, cosey room just to be with himself for a while...
Soon enough news came that Syrus was finally awake, therefore, he left his study. He passed through the hallways, and stopped at Altaires room to check on her... she was a bit rounder on her stomach... and he smiled walking up to her, caressing her stomach with both hands and leaning down to her and kissing her passionately... the baby was comming, and he was so excited... He smiled down at her, before caressing her cherub face and smiling softly... ".... i want you to take it easy until the baby comes.... understand?..." he said gently, raising her chin to see her eyes. Once she answered he smiled even more...
And soon departed for Syrus's and Selys's room.... ready for him to answer some questions.... Syrus... what is this, 'change' you have...

Her eyes softened as she looked up at him and sighed. Being pregnant was much like being wounded, only it lasted longer. She couldn't exert herself too much without risk of injuring the child she carried inside her. Her hands came to rest upon her belly as she replied, "I will try, my love . . . ," she murmured. After all, she could always practice her Water Dancing . . . there was little risk of overexerting herself there. She watched him go and wondered if she should go with . . . he hadn't asked her to, but she was curious as to this 'other side' of Syrus, especially after what she had seen before . . . . So she decided to follow him, just to sate her curiosity.
When she finally made herself stop crying, she looked up at him, but looked away again, ashamed of her tears, considering she had no idea why they were even there, but she felt his hand on her chin, gently tilting her gaze back up to him. After a short moment of looking into her still tear filled eyes, he leaned down and kissed her again, this time more passionately, holding it longer.
He pulled away slowly, his voice a whisper, "I . . . I love you, Selys . . . ," his hand lightly stroked her cheek, a slight smile on his lips as he kissed her forehead and ran his hand through her hair.
She gave a soft laugh, "I already know that, stupid . . . ," she tried to regain some of how she had acted toward him before, but with tears just threatening again and how happy she was, it was hard to do. She nestled into his chest, just trying not to cry again, I don't want to cry . . . why should I for no reason . . . ?
"I love you too, Syrus . . . I love you so much . . . ," she murmured into his chest once more as his hands came to rest on her back, running lightly up and down it, trying to comfort her from whatever was making the tears come.

Kye slightly knocked, just to be a bit polite, though came in quickly afterward. He came to the side of the bed, standing tall, looking down as if still angery, a slight fire lit in his eyes. He stared a bit longer until they noticed him and seperated a little from where they had been, looking up at him. He finally spoke in a rather low tone, soft, yet intimidating, one that Got an answer. ". . . Syrus, Tell me of what happened in my throne room. . . what are you planning. . .?" he asked forcefully, though looking fairly softly upon them.
