"Throne room . . . ?" he wondered who this guy was . . . looking up at him curiously, and moreover wandered what the hell he was talking about. He remembered only bits and pieces of what his other side did when in control of their body, though it was better than nothing. But this time . . . having been fighting so hard to get through . . . to make sure Selys was alright . . . he didn't remember . . . anything. The image of a beautiful woman flashed into his mind's eye, and the man here him now, standing angrily before him, though he knew not why.
He blinked and shook his head, looking up at Kye again, "Who are you?" His eyebrow raised curiously as he looked up at Kye, oblivious to who he was talking to.
Selys lay huddle slightly beside him, still resting her head on his shoulder and looking up at Kye, "Syrus . . . he's the emperor of the Shadow Kingdom . . . your other side knows him somehow . . . ," she murmured quietly.
His eyes widened slightly, "You knew me . . . ?" he sat up slightly, wondering why an emperor would have known him, but at Selys's protest that he was still weak, he laid back down, though his gaze never left Kye.
Altaire entered the room quietly, peeking in first to see Kye standing there, then coming to stand just inside the door, closing it behind her and trying to remain inconspicious. She only wanted to know what this other side of Syrus was like . . . especially after what she had already seen of him . . . .

"I knew you well, and if you dont remember who you are, tell me who you are now. You came for something i will not give you, do you even know what i am talking about?..." He said rather calmly, his eyes softly cornering to one side to find Altaire comming up behind him. "Altaire?" he turned and sighed, though he could not keep her from her choices, he'd rather her not be present at the time... He shook his head again, looking back at this new man, he now, knew not. He then waited for his answer.

Getting slightly confused on the subject of him coming here for something . . . he shook his head, "I have no idea . . . ," he replied to Kye's asking if he knew what he was talking about, though he wished he knew . . . .
He sighed, "I . . . I don't really know who I am now either . . . ," at his turning to a woman his eyes widened slightly, it was the woman he had seen in that flash of memory . . . . He looked at Selys, who looked back at him curiously, wondering what he was thinking. he had seen them standing beside each other . . . but that was it . . . .
Turning his violet gaze back to Kye, he wondered how he would explain who he was . . . when he didn't even really know. It had only been 2 years . . . was he really someone after that . . . it didn't seem to him he had been here long enough to be counted as a someone . . . .
"I'm only trying to figure out who I was . . . and what happened to me . . . what I did . . . ," he knew he betrayed the Ice Kingdom, but he didn't know how, or why . . . . His whole life now was trying to find out, and trying to find a way to get rid of his other side . . . .
Selys had been looking past Kye to Altaire, studying her. After a moment a slight smile came to her lips and she looked away again, back to Kye, hoping he might tell them something baout Syrus's past . . . anything . . . . She had already discovered why Syrus had betrayed the Ice Kingdom . . . for power . . . but nothing much else had been revealed to her though Syrus's seemingly gaurded words . . . as if he was choosing to speak that way just to make sure Selys didn't figure anything out . . . and tell his other side.

He decided he didn't like the vantage point from laying there on his back, and despite more protests from Selys he worked himself to a sitting position, figuring his other side had done something stupid and he ought to apologize, "I'm sorry for anything I . . . my other side, he might have done, or said to you. But, I suppose if you knew him before, you'd expect his kind of behavior . . . ."
As much as he hadn't wanted to admit it before, what his other side had told him must be true . . . he was the original Syrus, and this other side of him, the him he was now, was a new addition. He looked down at his hands, hating what he was suddenly, more than he ever had. But if this man, the emperor, had known him, known his other side then . . . it was true. He was only a copy of the original, that happened to turn out the exact opposite of the first.
His hands clenched into fists, his nails biting painfully into his palms, though he ignored that. He couldn't cause himself enough pain for all the things he had done, his other side had done . . . no, HE was the other side. What the REAL him had done . . . .
He jumped in the slightest as he felt hands on his own, gripping them lightly, and looked down to see Selys's hands there, turned to her.
"Syrus . . . your bleeding, stop hurting yourself," she murmured quietly, squeezing his hands once, lightly, before prying his fists apart. She sighed when she saw his palms, "A good thing you don't have long nails or you could have caused yourself some real damage . . . ."
Reaching into a pocket on the outside of her jacket she pulled out some cloth and from a smaller inside pocket, 2 small leaves which she promptly began to chew into a pulp. Never swallowing the juice, she let it seep from her mouth and into the cloth, then smeared the pulp on both his hands. She tied both pieces of cloth tightly around his hands and stutied her work for a moment before looking up at him, satisfied, "There now . . . they should be healed within a day or two." She kissed both his bandaged palms and smiled at him, hoping to make his mood better.
Though he only sighed and lookd away from her, back at Kye, "Did you . . . want to know anything else? I'm afraid I can't tell you much, but . . . ," he shrugged slightly, suddenly feeling very tired, "I'll tell you all I can . . . ."
She could see his weakness returning, "Syrus, please . . . lay back down-"
"Damn it, Selys . . . I'm fine," he muttered, finally looking at her again. Seeing the look on her face and the way she turned away . . . made him soften once more, "Selys . . . you know I didn't . . . I didn't mean for it to . . . ," she shook her head, still refuring to look at him, and obviously to speak to him either. She lay back down, back turned to them all, brooding in silence.
"Selys, don't be like this . . . I didn't mean it . . . ," but it was all too much effort for him right now, so he dropped it, Fine, ignore me . . . I can do it too. And he turned his attention back to Kye, wishing he could get some answers out of the one who knew him before, or at least satisfy the emperor's own curiosity in him already, so he could rest or something. He was getting irritated about nothing, and he certainly didnt want to be this way around an emperor . . . .

Kye didn't have much to say while the two made a scene. And while he waited for it to end, he looked back to Altaire, with eyes shape, but wishing to know why she had come... He already understood that she wished to see how different the two sides were, though if the real Syrus was to return, Kye wanted her as far away as possible from him... Knowing how Syrus often couldnt control his lust well... It made him accedentally scowl at Altaire... it took him a while to quit thinking about but once he did, he shook his head lightly, giving her a frown, then turning back to the two on the bed. he noticed that the girl had been ignoring Syrus, confused at what exactly happened, though he had no interest to ask. He continued on with his questioning. "... Syrus." he said, waiting until he faced him, "Where were you when she found you.. and where have you been since then. It has been a long time... and i wish to know how long your side has reigned over his body..." he said, his voice deepening only a little bit.

She caught the looks Kye threw at her while waiting for Syrus and Selys to quiet, but only looked down at her hands in respnse. She knew he didn't want her there, but she wanted to stay a bit longer, her own curiousity seeming to be stronger than her instinctive obedience to him. And so she once more looked up once he spoke, and waited for the response.
"I was . . . in a human village in the Ice Kingdom . . . . I don't know why, but I made it to her door . . . . That night is . . . only a flash of light and her in the doorway before i collapsed . . . . I can remember nothing else. I think I was still . . . still the side you know, when it happened. Since then I've been with her. I stayed with her for a while . . . but then, men sent from the Ice Emperor came to the village, and we ran. We've just been running since then, and we finally made it here, a place we weren't wanted . . . . Occasionally my other side . . . the one you knoew, breaks through, makes me do things . . . ," he looked down at his bandaged hands, thinking for all the blood they had shed he deserved to shed some back . . . all the rape, the killing of innocence . . . .
He hated himself for the thrill it all brought to him, the pure ecstasy of it.
You would enjoy it too.
He closed his eyes at the sound of his other side and didn't dignify it with a response. He opened his eyes once more and just tried to act normally, "I am usually in control . . . have been since I woke in Selys's home around two years ago."
Oh, come now . . . don't be angry with me, we're like brothers, after all, he sighed, Besides, you know I don't appreciate being ignored . . . that's when I find ways to make myself noticed.
Could you possibly leave me alone for 10 minutes? Or are you incapable of shutting up for that long?
Oh . . . well, no need to get nasty, a simple please would have sufficed, and the laugh disturbed him, but he felt his other side's prescence fade away once more and blew out his breath in relief.

Kye scowled at this information... The Ice Kingdom... Damn it. he thought to himself. Then, without any further thought, he slammed his fist down onto the nightstand beside the bed, his tone louder and forceful, "Tell Me You Had Nothing To Do With The Ice Kingdom Since Then!" he demanded. He was worrying himself into his own conclusions of how this would end... and things werent pretty if he said he was.... Darkness swirled up his arms, his hands pitch black with emotion... and at the moment the only thing that could calm him down was Altaire... he would never hurt her again... and now she was the sorce of all his tranquillity.... "TELL ME!!!" he Yelled.

"I . . . I haven't . . . not since we got to here . . . not since we left the Ice Kingdom . . . since before then," his eyes were wide, not expecting such an outburst. Selys was forced to turn a fearful gaze toward the emperor, in all her stubborness as she tried to ignore everything that was going on about her, "We . . . we've mainly stayed a few days ahead of them . . . ."
He felt the prescence before he heard the chuckle, Angers quite easily, doesn't he? Ah, the Kye I used to know . . . -
Will you just shut up!?
Kye . . . , her eyes widened as well, wondering what had made him this way, "Kye . . . ," her voice was quiet as she came to stand beside him, hesitantly put a hand on his arm, and her other on his shoulder, "Kye . . . look at me," her hand went to his face, her touch soft upon his cheek. Her eyes were questioning, one question mainly, 'what's wrong?' though she didn't ask it outwardly, feeling he might not want to tell her with Syrus there, "Don't do this . . . he hasn't had any contact with them, so why do you worry?" She smiled in the slightest, kissing his shoulder, "Be calm, my love . . . ," and still her voice was soft, and calm in itself.

Kye's anger decintigrated the moment she spoke... he mellowed, then continued, glad to know Altaire was there to simply calm him from going too far... Though he wouldnt want her there much longer... he could feel something wasnt right... Kye face back to Syrus, then more calmly asked, "... They arent planning to come Here, are they Syrus?" he asked, his eyes still a bit moody. "... Because, if they were, i would have a lot of problems... and with that said, You too, will have problems... Understood?" he waited for his consent, though he already knew what his answer would be, considering how intimidated he looked... it made Kye seem a bit younger again, a smirk almost coming to his face, though it remained hard on him for the time being.

"I don't think they'd come here . . . we haven't seen any signs of them in a long while, maybe they've given up for now, now that we've left the Ice Kingdom," he spoke a bit easier, having watched Altaire calm him and musing to himself that perhaps he and Kye were not so different . . . . It seemed they both, in their own ways, had two sides to them, and for both of them a woman brought out the better through the worse.
Selys, having also watched the two, was thinking something similar to Syrus, and it made her stubborness melt away as she snuggled a bit closer to him, felt his arm lazily wrap around her as if on some instinct.
He looked down at her, her eyes were closed, but everything about her now seemed to say she was sorry. He bent to kiss the top of her head and looked back to Kye, only to be disrupted again.
There was a sigh of exasperation in his mind, then, One thing you must know, is that the Ice Emperor will never give up searching for us, she is only waiting us out, or perhaps planning something in that pretty little head of hers, but she has not given up. How little you know.
Well, perhaps I would know more if you had half a mind to tell me,[/i] he growled back.[/color]
That chuckle that meant he was going to say something mocking or sarcastic came, Oh, but I do have half a mind. I rule half of this body's mind, did you forget? Tsk, tsk to you then. He laughed once more at his little joke, which he knew his other side would only find annoying, Perhaps if you fucked what you hold in your arms now every once in a while you would be more light-hearted and laugh at my little jokes.
His free hand came up to press into his forehead, Damn it . . . just leave me and her alone! he took a deep breath, Shouldn't you be resting for your next take over? I know that last fight with me left you weaker than you're used to . . . what the hell do you want?
You don't expect me to lay dormant with my oldest friend present, do you? How rude would that be? It sounded more like he was spitting out the words than anything, but he was silent after that, though Syrus knew he was still there, listening and watching though his eyes . . . their eyes.
"Did you . . . did you want anything else . . . ," he thought he might address him as something, "My lord?" It seemed good enough, hadn't he addressed him as my lord before? It was his other side, they were nearly half and half in control of their body now, and it was his other side who refused to call Kye by anything but his name, and made calling him my lord seem awkward.
"Selys . . . help me fight," he murmured before Kye could reply to his question, not understanding how his other side could possibly be trying to break through again, so soon, after such a fight as they had.
She looked up at him, her eyes narrowing slightly, "Already . . . ?" the arm that was around her tightened its grip and she began to think, what would help . . . ? Well, she ahd an idea, but she wasn't sure if it would help or hurt. Gently, she took his face in her hands and kissed him, deeply.
His eyes widened before softening once more and closing, She makes me stronger, I told you that before, she makes me stronger!
Damn the girl! She ruins everything! . . . . There was laughter on the verge of maniacal after a moment, She might make you stronger, but she also makes you weaker. Next time I'm in control . . . I'll be sure to prove it to you! With that he was gone, shut away in that darkness of their mind that they switched in and out of periodically. Or so he thought.
He pushed Selys lightly away from him, laying back, his whole body shaking. They had both been too weak for another fight, but he knew, without Selys's help, he would have lost this one. He heard her voice, questioning and worried, and looked up at her briefly, giving her a slight smile before his eyes closed again and fought another battle, this time to stay awake.

He thought hard on it, looking back at Altaire again... "... At the moment, i can think of a few things i want to know, but nothing you could really tell me. Considering you havent answered much to what i have asked of you so far. Though what you have answered does help me in at least some way..." he paused a while, stroking a hand through Altaires long locks of hair. "... How are you handling him... hm?" he said with rather invading eyes, looking back, the eyes he once saw, now sharpened and peircing through his very ego with them.... How would he know? From this question, it would seem obvious to many people... or perhaps just Kye.....

Syrus took a few breaths, attempting to calm his shaking, and Selys answered for him, "Well enough," she ran her hand lightly over his cheek, through his hair.
His hand came to grip hers gently, though his eyes remained closed, "We were both too weak for that . . . it will take him longer to recover now, enough so he can take control again." One eye opened slightly to look over at Kye and he stated with some humor something he was sure Kye already knew, "He's quite angry with you."
Selys only shook her head, she had observed that earlier, "Syrus, you really need to rest, please . . . ."
"It can wait, a bit longer," though sweat from two battles so close together was dripping from his brow now.
"Syrus . . . ."
"It can wait . . . ," with some effort, he worked into a semi-sitting position, turning his gaze fully to Kye once more, "I don't believe I have much right to ask . . . ask anything of you . . . . You know what it is to love . . . . It will not be for a while, but once my other side does take over . . . I beg that you take Selys away from me . . . please . . . keep her safe," his vision blurred and he ssank back down from his more ujpright position, but he fought to stay awake a while longer, until he knew she would be safe, he had to know . . . .
"Syrus . . . ," she repeated softly, gripping his hand a bit tighter.
His eyes closed tightly, his grip on her hand becoming tighter once more, "No . . . ," he breathed, how could his other side be fighting again? "Selys . . . go . . . ," he pushed her hand away, knowing not even her help could stop it this time, he was much too weak, "Go . . . ."
"Syrus, no, I-" her words turned into ayelp of surprise.
Panting from his effort, Syrus leaned over the girl, wishing so badly they were alone, but unfortunately they weren't and he had to settle fora brief word, "Hello again, Princess . . . ," his panting turned into a breathy laugh as he turned to look at Kye and . . . Altaire. His gaze flicked back to Selys for a moment, "Be a good little girl now, and don't fuck this up for once."
With that he was soon on his feet, so close to Altaire . . . though she made to take a few steps back and he pulled her forward once more, his lips meeting hers only briefly before he found himself sitting on the bed without breath, having been punched in the stomach. Still he laughed, even as Altaire made to draw Darkness from it's sheath at her side

Kyden was appalled at the sight of Syrus even touching, much less kissing Altaire. With a deep scowl he pulled Altaire back, and jerked her behind him, so that he was between him and her. His scowled darken from the historical laugh Syrus had let out once he was punched onto the bed. Kye's temper rose quickly, though for the sake of Selys and Altaire, he kept it down. He approached Syrus only a bit closer, baring a fang at him, his one eye that was visible was slit and burning with discus. "It was once a funny thing, But now it is foolish... Touch Her Again, And You Will No Longer Be!" he exclaimed quietly. This arm and neck muscles tightened from anger, abusing something so delicate. Even a kiss was an outrage. "Control is a true power," he paused, leaning in, "That, i see you have none of." he leaned back calmly to an upright position, leering at him in silence. Then, for a moment, he glanced back at Altaire to see if she had been harmed in the slightest manner, she seemed fine for now. And he looked at Selys as well, to see how she was reacting to this, Princess?, he thought, why did he call her princess? he laughed to himself. Must be a name-calling, though... what had just happened... It's him isn't it. It made him frown again after his little laugh, studying him to try and figure out how Truely different this side was from the other, and so far, it was a completely different personality... Evil, lusting, and self-centered, three things that didn't go together and turn out well for surrounding people. And the worst part was... This side was farmiliar...

He slowly gained control of himself as Kye jerked Altaire to a position safe and sound behind him and made his threat, which only amused him. Looking up at his 'friend' through the bangs falling into his eyes, "Oh, Kye, I feel so sorry for you . . . so blinded by love, you'd never know you were the same man I once knew . . . ," for some reason he glanced to Selys, who was now hugging her knees to her chest to keep herself away from him, and staring at him to make sure he wouldn't try to do anything to her. This made him laugh once more, until Kye spoke again, of control and power and his laughter abruptly ended.
"You think you know so much about power, Kyden . . . only because you have gained it. But you never earned it, all you had to do was be born, and survive . . . and the throne was yours by birthright. What have you done to earn it, Kye?" he turned his narrowed gaze to him, standing, snarling, "Why do you deserve it more than I!?"
Before she could draw her sword, Kye had pulled her behind him, and there she stood as Syrus delivered his view on power, and Kye's having it while he didn't, Power-hungry, isn't he . . . , she thought bitterly, still pissed at him for kissing her. It was more the surprise of it than the actual action, but . . . . She glared angrily at Syrus all the while, wishing to settle it herself, a duel would do so well to calm her now.

A grim look came to his face as he asked such a question. In that one question, it revealed so much greed... It disgusted Kye. "I Have Earned My Place! My Power! I Was Not Simply Born Into Royalty!" Tension overtook Kyden. "I Deserve MUCH More Than You, For Love Has Never Blinded Me, But Showed Me Truth! Your Greed Disgusts Me To The Point Of Killing!" Kye squeezed the hilt of his sword, his fangs showing anger beyond a normal extention. "I May Have Once Had Fun, Though Everything Has An End... And Soon It Will Be Your LIFE!" he roared. Pulling one of the twinblades from it's sheath. He was close to thrusting it toward Syrus --- His arm jolted to a stop as he felt a hand clenching it and pulling him back. Meanwhile the two girls screamed, "No!!!" --- Then Altaire added, "You can't kill him! What about Selys?!" --- At the same time, Selys wrapped her arms around Syrus, regardless of which side was there... she couldn't let him die.
Kye struggled his way free from Altaire, slowly catching himself and calming down. Though his tension didn't lower at all, in his mind there was still an image of him cutting Syrus's bloody head off! And for now, he knew that would have to suffice. Syrus' smug face had words that read, 'You know you can't kill me Kyden... I mean too much to this little cunt.' The thought of him saying that made Kye grunt in anger. "Wipe that smirk off your face, before I do it for you." he said in a calmer voice. Though it was obvious that Kye was still infuriated by what Syrus was doing and How he was doing it. He thought back to what Syrus' eyes told him, and it pissed him off because Kye knew he was right... His other side was still there... Thus the advantage was on his side.
