Syrus watched with growing amusement as Kye struggled with the thought of killing him, an arrogant smirk set upon his lips, Oh, perhaps there is an advantage to this weaker side of mine after all . . . .
Selys hanging on his was beginning to annoy him, however, "Get off me, girl!" he growled, leering back at her. At his voice, the voice of the Syrus she hated and feared, she scrambled back, now realizing what she was doing.
His smirk returned as she quickly obeyed him. Still looking after Selys, he spoke to Kye once more, "Love has only made you weak, Kye, not shown you truth. There was a time I respected . . . even feared you," he turned his violet gaze to Kye now, "A time when no woman could ever stop you doing anything. Love changed that, I'm sure," he sneered, his gaze narrowing at Altaire, standing beside Kye once more and glaring right back at him. It annoyed him that a woman dared look at him in sich a way, made his lip curl to bare a fang at her in warning.
As he spoke again, his gaze returned to Kye, "She's beautiful, Kyden . . . but is she worth losing yourself over?" He shook his head as if saddened, "To think . . . love conquered that man I once knew," he sat lazily back on the bed, leaning back on his elbows and crossing his legs, looking very much relaxed, "and killed him. The same man who used to take whatever woman he wished to have, used her for as long as he wished, and when he got bored with her would find another to take her place . . . . The same man who killed for the sheer pleasure of knowing you had complete control, like a god, over whether a person lived or died, how they died. Oh, that choice is always fun, and so difficult to decide on. After all, there are so many choices," he gave a sick laugh, shaking his head slightly to get his bangs out of his eyes, "But I see that man is truly dead . . . ," his gaze shifted to Altaire once more, "Murdered by this woman you call your beloved," he spat out the word as he would a particularly foul taste, looking very much disgusted that he had to say it at all.
"I'm growing weary of you, Kyden . . . all you talk of now is love and truth . . . what's become of you, Kye?" he gave a great, fake sigh of disappointment, laying back and looking up at the ceiling, "You and my other side would get along well . . . neither of you are any fun," his voice took on a pouting note, much like a child who didn't get his way, "We used to be so alike . . . so similar, you and I . . . before you betrayed me, damn bastard," he growled, though he didn't sound all that angry, surprisingly, "I do so wish the old Kye would return . . . ," he chuckled then, "Though I suppose I'd be dead by then if that was the case, or at least on my way."
He found the subject of his death incredibly amusing at the moment, knowing Kye wouldn't kill him, "I never thought I'd see the day Kye, emperor of the Shadow Kingdom, would become his own whore's obedient little pet," he said it so casually it was as if he was talking about the weather.

Syrus' little tangent irritated Kye to the point where his old self was coming back. As Syrus spoke of his possibility of death, Kye thought evilly, You Read My Fucking Mind! His mind snapped as he gave his last comment. Altaire, a whore? "That's The Last Straw!!!" He roared, I Don't Care Who He Is Anymore, This Syrus Has Taken It Too Far!!! he thought fiercely as his wing's ripped from his back, his shirt tearing and bunching up around his waist. The torn pieces of cloth that barely remained hung loosely around his thighs. His chest was revealed, the scarred tissue rather attractive, it showed his powerful side, and also his chaotic side. He panted in anger, his face crumpled in the most furious face, his fangs sharp and angry. Luckily for Syrus, he was without his more painful weapon, the HandSpear. For now, Kye restrained himself from drawing his swords, wanting to know how strong he truly had become since they had last met. Though it wouldn't really matter, because he would end up Dead anyway, or so Kye thought--- and so greatly wished! Kye quickly kicked off the ground, and though it was difficult he remained in the air, flapping his large extended wings. he flew forward, swiping Syrus off the bed, slamming him against the wall, remaining in the air and crushing him into the wall, grinding his back against it. "Is This The Kyden You Wanted?! You Pathetic Fool!" He roared, the wall crumbling against Kye's force. It broke through, and the both of them began falling. Kye folded in his wings, seeing as he was on the top, he could free-fall all he wanted. With Syrus beneath him, they struggled, until Syrus hit the ground at full force. He hit the surface so hard, the ground pounded in, dirt flying up and away from the two of them. Kye looked down at the man he once knew... his cocky face smeared off and replaced with a more sullen face, one that shows he will fight back. The two of them split, swiftly flying in opposite directions. They both landed in the same position, a few feet apart, glaring. Kye was ready to kill this Literal - 'motherfucker'. As he was once an ally, a friend even, though now that Kye had matured, this man was nothing but childish, sick, and greedy. Kye spat, flaring his wings and baring his teeth. "You truly do have a death wish... Don't you." he took only one step before he continued, "Only you would have enough nerve to come here just to harass my kingdom, lounging your cocky mind, and large mouth wherever you find suitable!" he lectured. "Well..." he paused, lowering his head and laughing rather quietly, though a hint of insanity was released in it. "You won't be here much longer... because you got what you wanted... I'm Here, and no woman is going to stop me from Killing You!" he leapt forward, swiftly drawing both swords, soring toward Syrus in a furious and driven way.

All through Syrus's ranting session, she had been sitting on the bed, as far away from him as she could get, hugging her knees to her chest and glaring at him, He's such an idiot! How can he say such things to an emperor in his own home!? Does he wish to die here? At his last comment, her eyes widened as she stared at him in disbelief, He does want to die!
As Kye slammed Syrus into the wall, however, a blank look entered her eyes, That was . . . so close . . . . Kye's wing had come extremely close to taking her out with him. The sound of Kye's outraged words brought her back and her head snapped around to see them.
No . . . Syrus! she was about to . . . well, she wasn't sure what she was about to do considering she was only a human and a child and could surely do nothing to help Syrus's situation at the moment. Before she could decide what she was doing, they broke through the wall and began falling.
"Syrus!" she heard herself scream as she ran to the newly made hole in the wall and looked down to see them. Her heart was racing so fast, pounding so hard, she was sure it burst through her chest.
Altaire listened with growing annoyance until he went so far as to call her a whore, and insult Kye along with it. She would be no man's play thing! Of course, only a short time ago she might have been Kye's had he not fallen in love with her, but that was different . . . . Fighting with herself not to draw her own sword and run Syrus through with it, she turned to look at Kye, only it was already too late to do anything for his anger.
No . . . , her eyes widened at Kye's actions and she knew she could do nothing to stop this fight now. It was inevitable with Syrus being the ass that he was. As they broke through the wall, however, she gasped. If Kye was that angry, Syrus had no chance . . . he was dead already.
At Selys's scream, she remembered the girl was there, momentarily forgotten to Altaire, and went to her side by the hole in the wall, also looking down at them, There's nothing we can do now . . . nothing . . . . looking back at Selys she felt extremely sorry for her . . . there was no way Syrus would survive this.
As Kye's fury showed, Syrus gave a low growl of triumph. This was in fact what he wanted, in his insane thinking. He wanted to see the old Kye once more before he killed him. He couldn't kill the new Kye, there was no fun in that, it would be to easy. Now he would fight back, and in turn try to kill him. Oh, this would be fun.
Through the pain of being slammed against the wall so hard it broke and then that of being slammed into the ground with Kye on top of him, he still felt his triumph, though his face showed none of it. The old Kye was still there, no matter what Kye tried to tell himself, and it always would be.
Now he stood, one eye closed as he regained himself, the other locked on Kye, and still his arrogance showed through in a smirk as Kye spoke, "I don't need a woman to stop you, Kyden, I'll do it myself!"
IceTalon's ice blue blade flashed from the sheath in an instant as he drew it to meet Kye's twin blades, bracing himself for the impact of his friend flying at him with the full force of fury behind him.

A Clashing of swords screeched through the air, touching the ear's of the lady audience. Kye no longer cared for their feelings and couldn't wait until Syrus was dead. The other side wasn't worth the wait, nor would Kye just sit back and keep enduring such aggravating insults. They clashed again, and again, Kye's blood boiling. He jumped back, kicking off of the castle wall, keeping all eyes on Syrus, moving at incredible speeds, their swords sparking as they collided, a magnificent blow, hitting Syrus back a few steps. Though once he got on the ground, his footing was only a little off, Syrus' counter was barely blocked. Kye jerked back, quickly advancing forward and made an "x" with his swords, pulling them both apart in a double slash, adding a shout of adrenaline in with the attack.
After a few minutes of bashing their swords, Kye swiftly dodged a swipe, making a quick strike on his left side. A smug grin flashed on Kydens face, shadow escaping from his body, flowing and twirling around his arms. Kye gave off a low laugh, loud enough for Syrus to here. Though it was a simple scratch, Kye was confident that if it kept up, Syrus would weaken, and Kye could Kill him.
As Syrus stood, Kye knew that he at least felt a little pain, and from the older Kyden, he Loved that thought, just to know that he was hurting, even a little bit. Kye stared a while, then took a small, but noticeable step forward, "So, Syrus..." he paused, giving the fool enough time to look at him. "Are you having as much fun as I am?" he laughed, tightening his grip upon his hilts. Though it was rhetorical, Syrus would have something smart to say back, it was only predictable. So Kye spoke before Syrus would be able to answer, "I hope so, because I am going to spice things up!" he said, sounding rather insane.
He began laughing, his eyes darkening with a Mad glow, his canines glimmering, basically calling for the sight of blood. His wings stretched past his arms, slightly curving in. We waited for a while as Syrus stared with a pathetically confident smile, Kye couldn't wait to swipe it off his face, leaving a bloody corpse for Selys to cry about. Sick... Though it was in his nature, he picked his own doom by returning to this Kingdom, especially wishing for what he did. He would pay for Stupidity and greed, and Kye would make sure of it.
How he would spice things up was totally oblivious to Syrus, and Kye could see it, which was the perfect approach... Through mind waves he had called for Ziek and Rahz, and at the speed of the mind-link, the summon was a great success. Both dragons, even as gentle as Rahz usually was, were definately pissed. Ziek, with his scales turning him into a giant moving eclipse, soared faster than the speed of an arrow, he landed behind Kye. The earth roared beneath his force, the wave of power blasting both downward and forward, blowing wind in Syrus' direction. The ground had become displaced, the large dragon's powerful legs and force deforming the flat terrace into rigid obstacles.
Only a second after he landed, Ziek jolted his neck forward, past Kye, giving out a loud howl of temperamental distaste. Let me rip him to Shreds!!! he said into Kye's mind as he snarled angrily. Kye's face showed the perfect smile to tell him to dig right in. Then Rahz arrived, just as infuriated. Screeching her way into Syrus' mind, she flew toward him from the opposite direction Ziek had landed. How Dare You Insult Our Emperor!!! she wailed, her teeth snapping at the air as she landed a ways behind Syrus, causing the earth to crumble, as it did beneath Ziek.
Knowing it was now 3 against 1, how on earth would Syrus have a logical and smart way to get out of this? Would he fight to the end, like his naive self? or would he just die easily?... The answer was obvious to Kye, considering this side he knew far too well... He actually thought that he stood a fair chance... though if he kept up that thought, he would for sure die a Painful Death.

Before Kye even asked if he was having fun, he was thinking it. He hadn't had a real battle in so long. Killing was fun, but as of lately so few had actually given him a good fight . . . . He knew he could count on Kye to give him that, and in the end, plunging IceTalon through his old friend's heart would bring Syrus one of the greatest pleasures he had ever known.
The faint feeling of pain occured to him as Kye actually got past his defenses. Narrowing his gaze at the cut, he gave the slightest laugh, looking up at Kye as he addressed him, a sickly amused light in his eyes, even at the sight of his own blood. As Kye continued to speak, he became slightly curious and even a bit excited at the prospect of something to add to their already intense duel.
As Ziek flew into view, however, Syrus scowled, bracing himself as the ebony dragon's landing caused a great wind to blow his way, whipping his hair about. At Rahz's screech in his mind, he turned his violet gaze to watch her descend behind him, before turning it back to Kye, standing so sure of himself now that his dragons were here.
He took a moment to take in the new situation, and felt something like a hand clenching his stomach. His eyes widened slightly with that feeling, as he realized he had never felt it before, not even when Gala had discovered his betrayal to her. Her wrath had been something to behold then, but Syrus had only been amused at it, afterall, she was only a woman, empress or no. Fear was something not easily inspired in someone as arrogantly confident as Syrus, but against two dragons . . . against one would be tough enough in itself.
. . . Fear . . . . ? He blinked it away from his eyes, quickly, before Kye could notice. He would not let anyone see such a weakness as that of fear in him, especially not Kye. Regaining his composure, quiet laughter eased from his lips nonintentionally. Fear? He did not fear anything, not even death. Death would be his punishment for weakness and stupidity. Fear was a show of his stupidity, in Syrus's mind. His laughter grew to insanely loud, especially considering the fact that he now pretty much laughed in the face of death itself.
Regaining himself once more, he took a few deep breaths to calm himself before looking back to Kye, "Kyden . . . first you hide behind your lover . . . now your pets . . . ," he shook his head, laughing slightly once more, "And here I thought you would fight me like a man, one on one . . . instead you hide like a child behind women and beasts." He sighed, disappointed, "So be it, Kyden."
From above, Altaire watched with growing anxiety for Syrus's other side and sympathy for Selys. She leaned slightly again the wall beside the whole, feeling a bit strange, but ignoring it for the time as she watched Ziek and Rahz join the two below. Shaking her head slightly, she looked over at Selys, the young girl's eyes glued to Syrus with so much worry and love shining in them . . . .
She closed her eyes tightly, His death is assured- her eyes flew open once more, suddenly and a small gasp escaped her lips, the hand that was not leaning against the wall coming to rest upon her swollen belly. Shaking her head in denial, she closed her eyes once more, No . . . not now . . . it can't- . . . , she continued to shake her head even after her thoughts stopped. And her water broke, "No . . . !" No, no . . . Kye . . . not without you . . . not . . . no!
Selys continued to watch the proceedings below, screaming in her mind. She coudn't let Syrus die! Tears had been threatening her for a while now, but she kept them back well enough, she wouldn't let her vision blurr and lose sight of Syrus. Even when Altaire gasped, she didn't hear it, only at her single word of 'no' did she finally tear her gaze from the men below to her.
It took her only a moment of studying Altaire to realize what was going on. Her eyes widened, Now . . . ? Of all times to a baby . . . . She didn't blame Altaire, of course . . . one can't choose when they have a baby, it just happened, but . . . what bad timing.
Glancing back at Syrus and Kye, she gave a sigh, knowing she couldn't stand here and do nothing with her training as a healer. She had pledged to lend her knowledge and skills whenever she could.
Placing an arm around Altaire, the much older woman looking at her in surprise, she spoke calmly, "Let me help . . . you need to lay down, now," she nodded her head towards the bed on which her and Syrus had been laying not so long ago. Altaire nodded and allowed Selys to help her to the bed.

Kye was already angry enough, but Syrus had to just keep pushing the limit. Ziek snarled behind his emperor, thinking that the comment of Kye hiding behind his dragons was offensive. Pets? Surely a creature as noble and intelligent wasn't meant as a Pet. Ziek found the word describing him as if some little dog who could be kicked around, and he would Never just take that.
He roared, shouting in Kye's mind, You Really Are Going To Take Such Insolence? He's Trying To Stop You From Using Our Power!-- I am quite aware of that..., he paused to glance back at the blood-thirsty beast, He wishes to change the odds against him and keep himself from being slaughtered. On the other hand, I'm interested in having a little fun. Therefore, I shall grant him a One-on-one fight... At least for now., he told Ziek, his eyes lowering to the disappointed dragon.
Kye then turned around, giving a fairly unusual smile to Syrus. "I understand what you are trying to do, Syrus." he said, casually standing there and talking with an unusually calm voice. "Trying to manipulate me, so I don't use my dragons to rip you to shreads..." he paused to let out a simple chuckle. "Cleaver..." he paused again, staring down with a more serious face, "Though I assure you..." his eyes sharpened, his more laid back voice turning into a rather sinister whisper, "No one is Hiding..."
With those words, shadow exploded from Kye's body, his eyes changing to razor sharp slits in a pool of crimson. his canines grew long enough to touch the bottom of his lower lip. the shadow that was lurking about his body was shape-shifting into armor and clothing that held the Shadow Insignia. On his hands, a Crimson Spear on each. It looked like a wide shield that twirled about in a wild manner, though everything connect and melted into his hands. There was one single claw that stretched down past his knee, the shadow almost indestructible, and it was Very dangerous, if not avoided. These Claws of danger.... were Kye's favorite weapons.
Ready for battle, Kye looked at his godly features, remebering how powerful he had become since his days on the street. Kye had been ruling for quite some time now, and wasn't in the mood to stop just yet. His name brought terror to some, and strength to others, and just pure anger and dread for most. He liked it that way though, no one truely bothered him to the extent of abruptly challenging him such as Syrus did. In ways it was thrilling, and in others, very bothersome, especially the part where he entered, and began demanding what he would never have. False dreams was everything that Syrus wanted, loads of women, all the power, and sometimes it wasn't even hard to believe that he would want all of Eureka if one truely knew him well enough...
Kye then shook off the long term thoughts, his eyes refocusing upon the twisting weapons fusing with his skin, his fangs glimmered in the though of blood dripping off in showers. And not just any blood... It had to be Syrus' to be a satisfaction for what Kye was looking for. He glanced at the pathetic figure, looking at him as if he was nothing but a small bug to squash. Kye then gave the most disturbing grin one could ever imagine, suddenly raising his hands, the clouds darkening the sky.
"You want my power?..." he started out quiet... Then his tone raised violently, "COME ON AND GET IT!!!!" he yelled to the sky, a bolt of lightning flashing above them. Rain started as little droplets turned black around Kye..... Once it hit the ground, the began reaching and twirling hungrily, hissing, and biting at the air around him.
"I'm waiting....."

At Kye's first words, there was the slightest sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach, though he pushed it away easily enough, his face still showing the same infuriatingly arrogant grin, "Clever? Me? You give me too much credit, Kyden . . . ." As to his comment that no one was hiding, he felt some of the tension release, and relaxed only slightly. Until shadow flew from Kye's body, at which point he became much more defensive, just in case his 'friend' were to try something . . . .
As the shadow instead began to meld into armor and weapons, he gave a light laugh, for no reason in particular. Most might find the show of power impressive, but Syrus knew, if he wished to, he could do something similar with Ice. Only, the armor he had made previously had only slowed him down enough to be hit, while wearing no armor, he rarely got hurt much. He also knew, Kye's armor would most likely be much lighter and more protective.
So he has an advantage over me when it comes to the defensive, very well. IceTalon will still feed on his heart's blood in the end, his eyes narrowed suspiciously as Kye raised his arms to the sky, but his words only brought a thrill of excitement bolting through him, just as the lightning flashed.
"Ah, Kye, I knew you wouldn't disappoint me," his voice was quiet, almost reflective, and his eyes held a truly insane light to them as he gazed at Kye. Want Kye's power? He was starving for it. And like a wild animal, he would fight to the death to win it, "I won't keep you waiting any longer then!" And with that he was at Kye in an instant, IceTalon's ice blue blade shimmering as if hungering for Kye's blood as Syrus hungered for his power.
"It's okay, Altaire . . . I can help you . . . I've done this before, I can help, it's okay," she tried to sound as calm as she could, tried to calm Altaire, not really sure why she was saying no so much, "Altaire . . . stay with me here . . . you have to breath . . . ," her gaze kept kept flicking back and forth, between checking Altaire's progress, and her face, to make sure she was still with her, "Come on, Altaire . . . this is happening, and it's happening now. Now come on, breath . . . breath and push . . . ."
As she lay on the bed, Altaire's breathing became more ragged as she began to feel the coming pain, "No . . . no . . . ," she kept repeating, though it was the only thing she seemd to be able to get out, the rest was only in her thoughts, No . . . Kye . . . not without you . . . not . . . no! Not now! Not now! Her constant 'nos' began to slur together into slight moans of pain as the contractions came. Fragments of Selys's words got to her, and she tried to obey them as best she could, but she wanted Kye to be there, so badly!

Kye's Crimson Claw met his Ice Talon in an instant, their grins almost matching. It was so nice to let out his deathly desires for once. And this time, he was hurting someone who was actually a challenge to him, and also, was someone he wished to kill most at the moment. He would not get away with this. He laughed every once and a while to let the world know how much he was enjoying a well matched fight. Though in the end, he knew who would win, it was Kye who would win, yes He would win this. He would win and return to his beloved Altaire.
Little did he know what he was missing up in that very room, he could have retrained from blasting out of, to be there for Altaire in such time of need. Though now he was fighting a current enemy he couldn't bare to have alive, curing his selfish needs, as Altaire suffers to strain through this without him. How could she live if she found out that the children would be without a father if he lost this battle, and what would happen to the Kingdom then? Not that it was something to be thinking about now, he would come back to her in the end.
Kye had enough of this weapon lock, and pushed a little harder against his sword to break the lock, slashing the air, shadow flowing throughout his movements. He couldn't wait until his Claw's went right through Syrus' head, and he held the blood of his opponent, regardless of from where it came. Kye stepped back a few times, but always renewed his stepping by moving forward, the two of them exchanging blows continuously.
The two of them, leaping from slanted platform to slanted platform, clashing sword to claw, claw to sword, sword to sword, sword to armor, claw to skin, sword to skin, every combination of metal and skin there is. Getting cut up and bloodied, the both of them were giving everything they had in this fight, and it showed with every blow they attempted. With every swing they made, every clash, every block, they both were determined to beat one another, and become victorious to their own cause.
Though with every swing, block, and bruise they got, the both of them, regardless of if they denied it or not, they both were weakening at a slow rate. Syrus at the moment, coming out on the top of the fight. But for Altaire, Kye would promise to change that, and quickly, he would not fail her, and their soon to be family. He was going to be a father, and he couldn't lose. I refused to let the children of Kyden the Shadow Kingdom Emperor to live without their father. I Wouldn't Happen.
Kye took a heavy blow to this shoulder, the Ice Talon piercing through the armor, and then his flesh, the Ice Talon's blade feeding on his blood. Syrus pulled back, giving out a cocky laugh, hoping this will be the end, giving another swing, right to the head. Syrus was so wrong, this wasn't even close to the end, and Kye would make sure that Syrus got everything out of this fight, because it would be his very last. Kye blocked the attack, the Shadow recovering the broken armor on his shoulder. though he couldn't heal, he would ignore the pain for now, it was just a wound, and he wouldn't let it stop him in battle.
He felt Rahz touch the back of his mind, and he took a small step back, glancing at her, and looking back at Syrus to concentrate, seeing if he would attack again or wait. She touched him again, You're Hurt Kye!, she exclaimed quietly, he snapped back at her, You think i don't know that? It's nothing big anyway, let it be, you'll distract me! He blocked her out, looking back at Ziek, seeing him still pissed off. The only thing he worried about was if he truly did weaken too much, would his dragons step in or not?
It wasn't a time to worry now, he had to get back at Syrus for his should. He clenched the fists behind the Crimson Claw Armor, raising an arm and blocking yet another attack from Syrus. Kye winced, noticing he blocked with the arm that was wounded. The pressure hurt, but it wasn't too bad. He finally found a weak spot to penetrate. He went for it, his stomach was completely open. Thrusting his bad arm forward, he shoved the claw through, pinning him against the closest slanted platform. He missed what could have killed him, and for that, Kye was angry, but at least he did get him in some way, and it would be vital. his lower side was completely pierced through, and for that it was good enough.
The only problem was, Syrus was still laughing.

Syrus couldn't help thinking how much he had needed a battle like this. Fast-paced, challenging, and full of risk. How he lived for risks, they made life fun and interesting, unpredicable. He threw his own life about as if he were invincable, unafraid of the possibility of death and suffering. He knew, in the back of his mind, he would get his one day, for all he'd done, he would be repaid in kind, but he was going to put that day off for as long as possible.
As Kye laughed every so often, so did he, this was by far the most fun he had had in a very long time, and knowing what reward lay at the end just made it all the more exciting. As his blade pierced Kye's armor, and then his flesh, he let out a laugh at his small victory and pulled IceTalon away again, now with a light coating of Kye's blood on the end. He wasted no time in trying to land another blow, though Kye blocked this one as he had been doing for the most part before.
He knew, of course, that Kye wouldn't let that one slide. For that small victory, Kye would earn one of his own from Syrus, and he was right. He suddenly found himself pierced through with one of Kye's Claws. The pain would have been something of great proportions to a normal person, but this was the risk, the consequence, that Syrus lived for. He laughed, knowing he had been right, this was Kye's payback for his shoulder.
Using his free hand, he took hold of the Claw and pushed it back toward Kye, removing it from his flesh, his own blood now on his hand, and quickly moved away from Kye to regain himself. Standing a few feet from him, his violet gaze never left Kye's face, though his free hand was now covering his wound slightly. Pulling it away, he sucked some of the blood from it, laughing once more at the taste of his own blood on his lips. And he couldn't resist pushing Kye just a little bit farther . . . .
"You know, Kye . . . it's a shame your little whore's pregnant . . . . After I kill you, she'll have to die as well, before she can birth the little whelp you put inside her. It really is a waste of such a fine woman . . . ," the look in his eyes showed just how much he'd love to fuck the woman Kye called his lover. And laughter showed how much he knew the comment would get to Kye. Somewhere, his other side was horrified at the comment he had just made, especially with his new wound. The comment would only fuel Kye's fury and drive to kill Syrus, while he continued to lose blood from the wound he had just recieved.
Meanwhile, Selys did what she could to ease Altaire as her labor progressed, "You're doing great, Altaire . . . you're doing great," she'd reassure her every so often as she lightly pressed a cool cloth to her forehead. She knew the pain would be great now, but she didn't have anything that could ease it. Lilia would have, but . . . she blinked the thought away. Lilia was most likely dead, and even if she wasn't, she wasn't here and couldn't help her now.
It was all Altaire could do now to breath and push, as Selys had been telling her earlier, as the pain grew. Though every so often a thought of Kye would flit through her mind, silently calling to him, if only he could hear it . . . .

While standing and staring at Syrus, knowing he couldn't help but to push Kye only a little farther. He succeeded oh so easily, because Kye was so pissed, he felt his mind about to explode. His shadow magic flaming vigorously around him, licking violently at the air that flowed close to it. Kye's eyes were beyond dark, the slits that had formed were so sharp, they could cut skin if they had been made as knives. He couldn't help but think of how he might just make them that way, only to pierce them through Syrus' heart.
Only someone exactly like Syrus would drive someone to such thoughts, but it was something Syrus wanted so badly, he just seemed so talented to drive people crazy. Considering the fact that he was already crazy to begin with. Kye shook off these stupid thoughts only to notice Syrus had already began ignoring his wound, attacking almost immediately. Kye had to act quickly, barely blocking Syrus' attack.
Having enough with all the annoying clashes, he thought he might make a few fireworks, just to make it more exciting. He kicked off of Syrus, shooting to the other side of the tampered Arena, charging up for a Shadow Blast. The attack wasn't the best, though it didn't take very much out of Kye, and he knew he needed to keep as much energy as possible to defeat his opponent. As it charged larger, he heard Syrus let out a quiet grunt, touching his side again. It made Kye's stern face lighten to a rather evil smile.
His eyes then let him find Syrus turning around, the smile leaving right when Syrus began laughing again. That laugh, that damn laugh is driving me up the fucking wall! He thought, looking down at his hand, the attack was taking a bit longer than Kye had anticipated, and it wasn't good. Come on! he yelled in his mind, jerking and tightening his arm, pushing out more energy. Finally it was ready, just as Syrus began advancing him. Shadow Blast!!!! his mind shouted, letting the black beam shoot from his hand. Though the center of the beam was black, the sides illuminated in purple, a neon light that could even blind someone.
Kye let it go fully, aiming directly for Syrus, though it stretched so large, Kye couldn't see if it hit or not. His mind filling with adrenalin, he gave out a yell of strength, pushing more and more power from his hand, the attack engulfing the whole fighting ground. It was sure to hit Syrus some how, and Kye was satisfied with the attack, everything blackening with his attack for a short moment. His yelling stopped, and everything faded back to normal.
The platformed arena had been blasted, and effected as it would the opponent aimed for. Some of the platforms were engulfed in a small flame, any living things within the vicinity completely demolished and burning, either that or it had already turned to ash. He grinned at this, but something he grinned at even more, was Syrus, holding his stomach with a full arm, his skin semi-burned from Kye's attack. This filled Kye with a new sense in confidence. The only problem was that he had used a bit too much power for one attack.
He tried contacting Ziek, though the dragon left him at a cold shoulder, and Rahz was a bit too far away to contact. He grimaced at the possibility that Syrus may come back with something that could damage him beyond healing, though he shook it off almost immediately/ He couldn't afford to show any negative emotion to Syrus what so ever. It was the man's life-force, and confidence, to know his enemy was pondering of defeat. Kye knew that he would be the one to kill Syrus, nothing was there to worry about. Nothing.

An attack of such magnitude, he had not expected, at least not yet, though with his last comment, he supposed it shouldn't be that surprising. The smallest of smiles flitted across his face, though it wasn't in him at the moment to laugh. That attack hadn't helped his wound at all, and he clenched it lightly in his free hand.
Clenching his teeth in a slight grimace, he straightened himself, though his hand didn't leave his wound quite yet. Staring at Kye, he mustered that insufferable laugh, though not quite as loud as it had been as of so far. He took a deep breath and ran his now blood-drenched hand through his hair, pushing the pain away, though he could still feel a dull ache from it, for all he tried to do to make it go away.
He felt a slight pang at the back of his mind, a touch from his other side, a suggestion . . . , You fool! You know nothing of Kye! Mercy!? He would never grant it, and I do not BEG FOR MERCY! he snarled back at him. For some reason, that little outburst gave him some extra strength and he forgot his pain and how weak he was becoming by the minute.
IceTalon . . . , little did anyone know that the sword was actually made from ice, but an ice Syrus had created through his talents. The bastard sword grew now to twice it's normal length, "I do not beg . . . for anything," he whispered to himself, watching as IceTalon continued to grow until he found it a suitable new length, nearly four times it's normal size. His anger at being told to beg for mercy by his other side was spreading from his feet in the form of ice, crawling over the ground until it slowly died out as a light dusting of frost.
As a small trickle of the blood from his hair began to roll down his cheek, he wiped it off and sucked it form his thumb, his canines growing now at the taste of it, an overwhelming blood lust coming over him, especially now that he was losing his own at this rate, "Kye . . . I wonder . . . will I like the taste of your blood?" he was speaking more to himself than anything, though he spoke aloud. His tongue caressed one canine in expectation of a feast of royal blood.
With that, he was at Kye again with his newly lengthened blade and blood lust. He Would Not Lose . . . wound or no.
Selys carefully washed the first child off, a boy, testing out his voice for the first time, and quite loudly. Though, now she knew, there was at least one more child to come, and Altaire was still struggling to make it happen, "I'm sorry, little one, you'll have to wait. Your mother's a bit busy at the moment," she spoke softly to it, and found a place to put him for the time being, so she could go back to helping Altaire deliver the next one without having to worry about him.
Altaire had had a moment to be relieved that it was over before she realized it wasn't, More . . . more than one . . . ? Oh, Kye . . . I need you . . . I don't know if I . . . have the strength for another one! She was already so tired, so weak, how could she possibly do it all over again with no rest in between? She felt so desperate . . . but the only thing she could do was try . . . .

Kye watched as the sword of his enemy elongated, his eyes thinning at the sight. Syrus' range would now be a factor compared to Kye's. Kye too, could elongate his weapon, since of course it was made of Shadow magick, and he could easily manipulate it. The only problem was that he had used too much power on his last attack, and had too hold the rest of it to keep himself able to win the fight. He didn't doubt for a minute that he couldn't win, all he would have to do was pace his use in magic, and not tire too rapidly. Kye didn't worry too drastically about when he ran out of energy though, with the wavering emotions of the dragons, he had to be cautious about how he used his magick. If he abused it, and they didn't assist him, he would have a much harder time winning this fight, though he was doing well so far.
He watched as Syrus began an attack, knowing that Syrus was hopeful to recoil the attack that Kye had preformed on him. To match the attack would be far more pleasing than to just try and simply kill him. It was much more fun to be flashy with attacks, showing off the power, the real power they both held. Kye smiled, this new move, of elongating his sword, was amazingly unpredictable this time. Kye didn't even think of what techniques that Syrus could possibly hold, the number could be endless with his skills with Ice. Though soon it wouldn't matter, all of those well learned techniques, gone and waisted. Syrus looked a bit angry now that Kye really inspected his expression. It seemed as if Syrus didn't want to play anymore, and that something was wrong. Kye thought about the possibility that he would losing power to his other side, though it didn't matter what side was present anymore. Syrus was to die regardless of which side was dominant at the time, Kye would never forgive someone so pathetic, someone as pathetic as Syrus. At this simple thought, Kye spat.
Kye had almost forgotten the rain that had been coming down, he had been so focused on killing his enemy, that he hasn't even truly realized his surroundings. He took a moment to look around, the evaluation from flat ground much farther upward. The ground was pounded in and cracked, the water making things slightly muddy, a puddle at the bottom of the fighting place. Lightning was still flashing in spurts, and the thunder rumbled a time after each flash. How the lightning lit up their surroundings, it was shocking that he hadn't noticed it before. The sky had darkened even more since they had began fighting, and it was actually what Kye favored. There was a small period of time where the two of them became only standing silhouettes, just staring at one another, until a bolt of lighting ran through the sky, and they advanced each other rapidly. Each of them had a large rush of adrenaline, yelling out as the weapons clashed loudly. Water sprayed from each side, the both of them clashing many times.
Kye slowly felt himself giving out from his arm, wincing at every block. Syrus' blade caught the side of his leg, Kyden jumping back, the blood spattering upon the already wet ground. Kye managed to get out of Syrus' range, kneeling down to one leg, and covering the fresh wound. He wiped off the crimson blood mixed with rain, staring at his hand, the blood redder than what felt normal. Kye closed his hand, the blood that puddled in his hand dripping quickly off, dropping with the rain. Kye... you idiot, you should've let me rip him to shreds, if you keep this up, he'll kill you! Ziek suddenly grumbled in his mind, he had unblocked himself, deciding to bark at Kye. Something Kyden really didn't need, but it was Ziek's style. Kye laughed and glanced back to his wet and shimmering black dragon. I understand that... perhaps you can lend me some energy, so i can heal faster... He suggested.
Ziek reacted, giving off energy, Kye's fist clenching to embrace the energy the dragon had given him. Kye nodded, attempting to slowly heal himself at his most vital wounds, at least enough to continue fighting with a victorious style. Now Kye was ready to continue... He stood again, the wound's closing on the outside, though the inside still needed much more healing. He brushed himself off, and shook his head vigorously to free his hair from getting to heavy from the rain. Let's Go.

He laughed yet again as he watched Kye staring at his own blood. Looking at IceTalon, a small coat of that very same blood covered it's edge, making his hunger for it grow all the more . . . he had to taste it: Kye's blood. He ran a finger along the edge, taking that blood with it, let the few drops he had captured fall upon his tongue and quench his curiousity. He felt his canines grow in the slightest at the taste and closed his eyes briefly to savor it, More will flow . . . I will have more . . . all of it . . . . His eyes opened once more to see Kye taking in their surroundings. What a perfect chance to attack-
Though his other side made him snarl furiously, he was beginning to break through . . . .
Enough of this! You're going to get us killed, you fool! I won't let you do that-
Coward! Afraid to die? What could you possibly have to live for!?
There was a slight pause in which his other side almost spoke, but he interupted to speak, finally, Selys . . . I have Selys. She needs me and I . . . I need her. I love her! and with that he began to fight harder.
At first he was only more furious at the sound of the word, Love! he spat inside his mind, And what has Love ever done for you!? With the new battle going on inside his head, he didn't realize he was now on his knees, leaning against IceTalon, now dug deeply into the ground to keep him up. He was weaker than he knew.
Love . . . what is it with everyone and love lately! a pang went through him more painful than anything he had ever felt before, the image of Her flashed before his eyes, but was gone in an instant, What . . . who . . . , pain, pain as he'd never felt hit him then, so much so that he could no longer even hold himself up against IceTalon.
He collapsed, barely holding himself up by his elbows, images, memories, flashing before his eyes that he couldn't place, These . . . these are not . . . mine . . . not mine!, "WHAT MAGIC IS THIS!" he roared into the ground as a flash a lightning illuminated their battlefield once again.
The pain was so great he felt his head would explode, and he was clutching it as if that was the only thing keeping it from not doing just that. He roared again as the thunder came, a meaningless sound of pain and fury as his strength began to give out.
With the second and final child finally birthed, Selys placed both newborn children on either side of their mother, panting heavily from the effort of giving them life, "Altaire, you did great!" she murmured, holding a cup of cool water to her lips for her to drink, which she did readily, "I could never have done it . . . twins, Altaire . . . it's so amiazing . . . . I've never delivered twins before . . . ," as soon as the water was finished she set the cup aside and sighed, "You really were great, Altaire . . . ."
As she felt the cool liquid against her lips, she opened her mouth to take it in. She was so thirsty, the only thing she wanted more than a drink was to sleep, though she tried to stay awake a while longer, her children would want to eat as well . . . . At Selys's encouraging words, she smiled slightly, "You're . . . kind, Selys . . . ," she breathed, both of her arms loosly around her children, "What . . . what . . . are they?"
Her eyes narrowed slightly at first at the question before she got the meaning, "Oh . . . the boy was the firstborn, the second was a girl. One of each, how lucky," she smiled slightly as well, looking at the three.
Both . . . a boy . . . a girl . . . . Oh, Kye . . . I wish you were here . . . I wish . . . so badly . . . you caould have . . . been here . . . , she thought of him once more, wondering if he was alright, if he was hurt badly . . . . She couldn't bear to lose him . . . especially not now . . . .

Kye stood there for a moment, watching Syrus fight with himself, his yells of pain, soothing to Kye's ears, it was no longer a laugh, but a cry. Kye took that laugh that Syrus once made, using it against him, raising his arm and forming a stance ready to attack him. Now was the perfect time, he was weakened, and vulnerable. Kyden had waited for this wonderful opportunity, and now was his chance to Kill him! He was just about to leap toward him, but Rahz entering his mind jolted him back. he snarled at her, baring a canine for interrupting his chance to kill his enemy. He expression was sorrowful and sensitive, as she continued to scratch at his barrier. He tried ignoring her, though he let her come through...
Kyden, wait, Please! she exclaimed, snorting and taking a few steps toward the edge of the pounded-in ground. He barked back at her, I Don't Care What Side He's On, If He Recovers, I May Not Win This Fight! Let ME Kill HIM! His eye's were filled with rage and madness, something that wouldn't be safe to return to Altaire with. Rahz whined, stomping and digging her talons into the ground. Kyden, look at yourself! This is what Syrus wanted, and you gave it to him so easily. This rage in your heart must parish, Now! If not, then what will happen when you return to Altaire, You Could Harm Her! --His eyes turned bloodshot, turning back to her, "SHUT UP" He exclaimed out of both mind and speech. He had to kill him, Syrus was the biggest threat to him currently, and one who wasn't to be taken as a joke. This Man Had To Die.
Rahz could sense it, as Kye's anger and rage rose, Syrus was getting weaker, and though she served under Kye well, this battle wasn't fair. Innocence was still involved, and another part of Syrus didn't deserve to die, Selys didn't deserve to suffer, and Altaire didn't deserve more stress than she already had. Throughout the time Ziek and Rahz had been spending in their own "quarters", Rahz had her mind very open, to monitor everything that had been going on, and understood most of it. Though she was not aware Altaire was in labor, she knew she was in great stress, and longing for Kye to be there again... Rahz couldn't let him do this!
In Ziek's barbaric sense, he showed his knifing teeth in a grin, happy to feel such rage and power radiating from Kye's thoughts and body. Though he grunted continuously, snorting at what Rahz was trying to reason. Ziek wanted Syrus' head to be ripped off and chewed on, then spit out and set on fire. He barked at Rahz's idea, Pathetic Rahz, why are you always trying to create reason, This man deserves to die! Rahz looked to him in anger, replying quickly, Not The One Who's Here Now! This Side Is Clean, And Innocent-- Always About Innocence! KILL Him KYE! Rahz looked to the bluish, white haired man, blood-drenched and terrified to figure out what was soon to happen. On his hands and knees, cut up and dirty from the half foot of wet mud beneath them all.
Kye jumped at Syrus, taking action on Ziek's side of desire, Kye almost to him. Rahz howled, NO! Her wings shot out, and she darted in front of Syrus, slamming her tail into Kyden's chest, shooting him back, crashing him against the wet muddy rock. She yelled, roaring at him, Stop This Kyden! What Would Altaire Think Of You Like This!, she snarled loudly. Surprised, Kye gathered his air back, staring at her. Ziek growled to himself, flying off, disappointed to see no heavy bloodshed. Rahz watched him fly off, grunting and blowing him off. She then lowered her head, speaking to him, shielding the warm rain from him. You fought well, Syrus. It's over, I will not let there be anymore bloodshed while you remain on this half. It is a dragon's promise. She bowed her head, her muzzle brushing his chest, her dark, soft eyes looking up at him in trust. Let us take you back to Selys.
She stood up again, looking over to her Emperor, ashamed, As for you, Master Kyden, I suggest you change your thoughts, or else you won't be getting a ride to Lady Altaire, and she is in desperate need of you. Her glare softening in worry of Altaire. Both Syrus and Kye ended up mounting her, Rahz flying them to the crashed open wall, letting them get off, then bowing to them both, and flying off to calm Ziek. Kye looked out the hole in the wall, waving his hand to make a barrier of shadow to keep anymore of the storm from comming in.
The moment he turned---

Syrus all but fell from the dragon's back as she let them off in the room they had once been in, then worked his way to sit back against what was left of the wall. Shaking quite noticeably from pain and exhaustion and breathing ragged from his fight, he managed to call quietly for her, "Selys . . . Selys . . . !" He could not see her, for his eyes were closed tightly, trying to keep the pain away, trying not to black out . . . .
As the dragon appeared in her view, she was terrified to know what it was doing there, but then Kye and Syrus appeared with it, and she watched as Syrus slid to the floor, He's alive! Tears welled in her eyes to know that fact. She had thought for sure he would die this time!
All but forgetting Altaire, she rushed to his side before he even uttered her name, pulled him into her arms, and cried into his blood-covered hair, "You're alive . . . you're alive . . . ," she could feel the blood on her face, warm and wet, but she didn't care. Syrus was alive.
He managed a small smile that no one saw anyway, "Selys . . . are you . . . are you . . . -"
"I'm fine . . . look at you . . . so many wounds . . . . Just wait, I'll be right back . . . I'll get something . . . I . . . I'll be right back," she gently laid him back against the wall and went to where she had laid her jacket some time ago, fetching a few things for Syrus's wounds and returning to him, completely oblivious as to the fact that Kye and Altaire were even there anymore.
Altaire's gaze turned from exhausted to worried as she saw Rahz appear, but then both men climbed from her back and she was gone again, Kye . . . , she thought happily, doing her best to sit up. At the look on his face as he turned, she had laugh, though it was quiet, she was still rather tired.
"You're . . . ok, Kye . . . I was . . . worried . . . ," she looked down at the children in her arms, smiling slightly before looking back to him, not sure what exactly to say to cure his shock, "Twins . . . I assure you, I wasn't . . . I wasn't expecting it either," she gave another small laugh, though a small tear also fell, and she looked down at them once more. Her children, Kye's children, "I . . . I really wish you . . . could have been here . . . but . . . . It was hard without you . . . ," she knew it would have been hard anyway, but . . . she had thought when the time came, he would be there by her side, holding her hand . . . .
She didn't blame him, but she didn't know what else to say. A turmoil of emotions and exhaustion was making her say the things she had felt. She tried to stop more tears from coming, though it didn't work very well. It was sadness and happiness mixing as one, she didn't know what to feel at the moment, and now it was all just confusing her. All she wanted to do was rest, with Kye by her side once again.
