Okesha watched him as he slept fitfully. He had a terrible fever, though now it was close to breaking. Over the past week or so he had been in one of his horrible moods, in which he pretty much ignored her or treated her like dirt. This time he had ignored her completely by leaving jer all together for a few days, in which a terrible storm raged the whole time. When he returned, he was soaked to the bone, barely able to hold down food, and had this dangerously high fever she had been trying so desperately to break.
Sighing, she took the cloth from Neo's forehead and drenched it in the cool water she had placed on a small table at the head of his bed. Wringing it out and replacing it upon his forehead, she looked worriedly down at Kiron, petting him shortly for comfort, "If Aura was here . . . she'd know what to do . . . ." Sighing once more, she pulled the blankets up to better cover him, wishing he would stop shaking so.
"Raven . . . no, don't . . . don't die . . . ," in his dream he held her again, though her death was not the same. His father's black and white wolf form stood before him, snarling angrily at him for taking away his prey. Her clothes torn to shreds, her body bitten and mangled , Raven barely clung to her last breath. Glaring up at his father as he began to change, he found that he was staring at himself. Only, the man standing before him now, this man that looked exactly like him, was drenched in Raven's blood and his fanged canines were dripping with it as he gave a sadistic grin.
Neo's eyes widened at this copy of himself, but then he felt Raven growing lighter in his arms. Looking down at her, his breath caught in his throat as he watched her slowly dissintegrate into nothing. When he tried to hold her tighter, to keep her there, she turned to dust in his arms, "Raven-"
Though he was cut off by a swift kick in his chest. Lying on his back, his reflection stood over him, laughing, "What kind of a man are you? You can't even save the ones you love!" he began circling clowly, a derranged look upon his face, "First you kill your own mother-"
"No! I-I didn't . . . I never meant-"
"Then you let the ones who raised you die in that fire-"
"What was I suppose to do!? I wasn't even-"
"And you kill your own father-"
"He deserved-" he had been pushing himself to a sitting position, but found himself on his back once more, his reflection's foot on his chest, holding him down, and his own swords pinning his neck down between them.
"Look what you've done now. You lover is dead, and it's all your fault, just like every other time-"
"No! . . . I . . . I-"
"You should have protected her, if you really loved her."
"I . . . I know, but-"
"You should have died in her place. In fact . . . why don't you join her!?"
Shooting bolt upright, gasping for breath and covereing in a thin sheet of cold sweat, he closed his eyes against the memory of his dream. He glanced at his chest in surprise as the wet cloth from his forehead fell onto it. Looking only slightly to the side, he found Okesha had fallen asleep, kneeling at his bed, resting her head and arms upon it. Eyes narrowing slightly at her, thoughts of his dream came back to him. He had no one left . . . no one but Okesha . . . and it was his fault they were all dead. He wondered if Okesha would die at his fault as well.
Taking the cloth from his chest, he set it aside, running his free hand over his face, through his hair. Standing carefully, so as not to wake Okesha, he pushed through the heavy curtains to the small balcony protruding from his room. Gripping the rail tightly, he suddenly leaned forward abd freed his stomach of all it's previous contents. Wiping his mouth with the back of his hand, he looked up to the full moon white regaining himself once more, "Damn it . . . ," he murmured, straightening.
Leniah . . . mother . . . it's my fault . . . . If I had never been born . . . the villagers . . . they wouldn't have . . . , he gripped the rail ever tighter. If he had never been born, his mother most certainly wouldn't have had died birthing him. His foster mother, the only one who had ever really cared for him until Raven, wouldn't have died in a fire meant for him. He even regretted the fact that his foster father, his uncle Darionn, who had hated him with a passion, had died in that same fire. And Raven . . . he had made a silent promise to always protect her . . . and he had failed. Instead, she had died protecting him, and that alone almost killed him. That he had needed protecting, that the one he loved most died doing it, that he could have prevented it, somehow . . . it tore him apart. Losing Raven was by far his greatest loss, his greatest failure. Losing her took him to the edge, to his breaking point, though he was still hanging on, clinging to a hope that there might still be something left worth living for. Besides, he had promised her that he would live for her, and so he would.
Standing there on the balcony, thoughts of the ones who had died for him ran through his mind. Why, then, did he deserve to live? He could not understand it. His life was meaningless and desolate. Why should others die only so he could continue to live his pointless life?
A cool night's breeze blew past, ruffling through his black-furred tail, hanging limply from his depressive state. The coolness of the night over the bare skin of his back and chest gave him a slight chill. Suddenly he had a great urge to leave, even though he had only just recovered from his brief illness.
Stepping back through the curtains as quietly as he had left, Neo threw his jacket on and slung his swords carefully across his back once more. Taking another look at Okesha, he sighed lightly and stepped back onto the baclony. From there, leaping to the roof and making his along it, onto another and yet another until he found himself to be a suitable distance away. Sitting and running his hand through his hair once more, he did what he always did when he had too much on his mind that needed to be organized: sharpened his swords. Something about the monotonous strokes and the sound of the whetstone on steel was calming to him, for one reason or another.
Though he had to appreciate Okesha for helping him through his sickness, he was becoming tired of her otherwise, thinking that he'd probably be better off alone than with her. When they were travelling she could never shut up. Even when he was trying to sleep she continued to bombard him with insignificant questions and non-stop chatter. And when she wasn't talking, he look over at her to find her staring at him in some strange manner that made him quite uncomfortable. He supposed she might be somewhat lonely with Aura gone, he knew she had grown quite close to the other woman. He sympathized with her for that at first, tolerating it, but now she was only getting on his nerves.
What's more, his annoyance of her was turning into resentment for the past, for Raven's death. Afterall, if she hadn't run away, they would never have left the inn to look for her, she would never have been caught by the man that had caused Raven's death. He couldn't even get his revenge for it either, because Raven had killed him herself before she died. He hadn't been concious to witness it, but Aura and Okesha had. Somehow, it only served to anger him more about the whole ordeal.
Blowing out his breath in frustration, he once more looked up to the full moon, his thoughts turning to Raven, as they had so many times before. The most vivid memory he had was of their time at the inn, and also the most painful, knowing she would die only a few hours later. Sheathing Flame, he laid back, just staring up at the night sky, and the moon in particular. Something about it was soothing in it's full state. Perfect, unbroken, shedding light upon a world full of darkness, Raven . . . , he took a deep breath of the cool night's air, wondering why he had finally come back to Darkon, We met here . . . in this city of shadows. What was someone like you doing here anyway? You never belonged here, even if your brother is the emperor. Though, at the thought of Kye, his lip curled slightly over a fanged canine, "Damn the bastard," he growled aloud, "Damn the whole city!" Sitting up, feeling rather moody again, he growled meaninglessly to himself and began sharpening Flame once more, every so often glancing up at the moon, slowly sharpening his anger away.
After a while he sat, motionless, staring down into the dark streets below, thinking of her again, If I could only have one more day with you . . . one more night . . . a second chance to protect you . . . I would never fail you again . . . . If only . . . . Sheathing Flame, he began his work on Shadow. He had to get her out of his mind . . . . There were no if only's and no second chances. She was gone, and no matter how badly he wished it wasn't true, she would never come back.

Swiftly moving through the bleeding moonlight, a single silhouette bolted from one wall to the next, watching carefully, paying attention to every step she took. She stopped sharply as her enemies moved along her previous path, shouting out with their drunk accents. Her hair fell in her face as she backed into the darkness, her piercing red eyes covered. She knelt down on on knee, being sure to stay quiet, as the 20th drunk passed her. She rested her hand upon the cold cemented wall, blood imprinting part of her hand in blood. She gave out a silent breath, looking upward, she heard an irritated voice speaking more to himself, 'Damn this whole city!'
Every bit of that voice was sober, and it seemed unusually familiar. -- Though it wasn't time to find out who it was, one of the men tracking her, had began yelling, both smelling the blood, and finding the imprints of dirt leading to the alleyway she was hiding in. Gritting her teeth, she ripped the single Zen blade from her sheath, slashing the drunk up from the waist, and across his chest. He fell instantly, though his shrieks gave off her position, causing the rest of the hunters to follow the sounds. Cussing beneath her breath, she changed directions, stopping instantly, finding herself surrounded from all directions.
[Mob]
"Lissshen you Bitshh, You can't jush take what you want to... At leasht not without PAYING!"
"Yeah!"
"Beshides, Babessh like yourshelf Ssshouldnt be playing with Big Boyshh Like ush."
"I Eat Chickshh Like You."
"I'll Kill You!!!"
"Ssshe'sssh MINE!"
"We all get a peishh, Right?"
[Mob End]
A man who seemed to be some sort of leader of this nasty group stepped out from the surrounding crowd. This strange ruby-eyed woman stood, her body looking cold, but tough and muscular. She stood, without blinking onc, she waited from him to speak and be done, her eyes as if endless pits of nothing.
"I shpeek for all of ush, Sho lishten up. Not only are we the Clan of Dakous, Danger and Death, all of us can easily kill wretchs like you! But alsho," he swollowed to clear up, "You have stolen something very valuble, and you will either hand it over and run like hell, or we kill you."
Rae, the name of this mystery, slowl raised her head, along with her hand, a valuble-looking necklace, one with the title of the Fenrill Pendant, a blood red cut jewel, big enough to take a whole fist to hold. She tilted her head as i hung from her loose grip. "What..." she taunted, letting it slide a little, causing the man to reach for it, suddenly tensing up. "This little thing?" her voice seemed to kill the ears, just to listen to it, you'd know she had a heart of what seemed to be stone.
The man's face crumpled as he looked back to his followers, and looking back at her, then to the necklace. Then he suddenly called out, "KILL HER!!!" And to that, Rae's face lit up, her fangs curling over her bottom lip as they advanced her. Out of a group of 30 to 40 demons in the Clan of Dakous, they fell in rows, 3 at a time, and constantly.
From 40, to about ten of them, they backed up, terrified to see how many had fallen in such a short amount of time. Rae with a few nicks and bruises, sh was panting quietly, blood spattered across her body, both hers and her enemies. She bared a fang at them, growling lowly as she wiped the blood free from her blade upon one of the fallen victims. She then looked up at them, standing straight and advancing them, and as she did, they descended, retreating.
When they turned and made a run for it, she stopped and stared, the cold wind giving her a small chill, one she could easily shuve off. Though she didn't show it, she was tired, she let out a small gasp when they were gone, almost feeling happy that it was over. Not only that, but she got what she wanted...

Oblivious to the silent stranger lurking in the shadowy streets beneath him, he continued his work on Flam until the scent of blood drifted to his nares. Auds perked, he looked up from his ruby blade just as a hoard of drunken men began to shout. The stench of alcohol emenating from them was almost unbearable to Neo's sensitive nose, drowing the blood scent completely.
Sheathing Flame and returning the whetstone to a pocket on his kacket, he stood and leapt to a better vantage point to study the situation below. Able to see clearly now just what was happening, he sat to watch it proceed. He figured he'd probably have to step in at some point, though waited for the right time. The woman was surrounded and the men certainly didn't look too pleased with her. Of course, he didn't think he would be very happy with her either if she had stolen something from him. At least, that's what he gathered from the woman's grasping something that looked quite valuable, even from first glance at this distance. At one man's shout of "kill Her!" he was about to make his entrance, though he got quite the surprise when the woman kill the majority of them in one fell swoop.
Eyes widening slightly, he found himself briefly impressed as the remaining men left standing turned tail and ran. The slightest of laughs fell from his lips as he realized just how greatly he had underestimated her. "Pretty good with that sword of yours, aren't you?" he called suddenly. Not sure why, he felt compelled to speak with her. If nothing else she might be able to give him an actual challenge in a fight, though by the looks of her now, she wouldn't last too long against him. He was fresh, and sober to mention, even if he had only just recovered from his short illness. He was obviously more well rested than she was. Besides, it certainly helped him to keep his mind off Raven . . . .
Standing and descending to the ground in a short leap, he made himself comfortable leaning against the building. Watching her, he waited for a reaction, wondered what she would do. Hopefully she wouldn't run, that would be so disappointing. He really didn't feel like chasing anyone at the moment.
(( ahh! sooo shooooort! ::cries:: oh well ::sighs:: ))

To the stranger's voice, Rae swiftly turned toward his direction, feircly letting out a snarl of irritation. Whoever this man was, he wasn't going to tease her, especially now. She remained tense since she swung to face him. After showing him her sharpened canines, she let her mouth open a bit more so air could circulate freely, calming her hard breathing. She got a good look at him, not amused at how laid back he was, considering he had just seen her slaughter at least 30 men at once. It was difficult, regardless if they were drunk or not.
The ears and tail weren't much to look at, though they did compliment his black hair and piercing, yet soft eyes. Rae also found not one, but two swords equipt to him, one of them a red blade. She kepted searching, his black clothing tough, but warn. She looked back to his face, glaring at his cocky smile. This wolf-man was really something, showing up randomly right after a slaughter of a drunken clan. He must have been a part of it! A clever move of a city clan, let the drunk be slain, but leave the sober to kill. This manuver wasn't about to fool her.
She growled and took a step back, her hand clenching tightly upon her stolen wealth. Raising her blade, she took a step back, a grunt escaped her lips, hiding a grimace from her new opponent. Rae bared her teeth, creating a stance ready to fight, glaring feircly at this figure. Upon her arms came a glow carving upward, onto her neck, and face. Down her legs, and covering the rest of her as well. With fire engulfing her clenched fists, she was ready for him. Though when he didn't advance, her eyes thinned, running toward him instead.
As she jumped before him, he drew one of his swords, as she would have expected him to do. With locked blades, she pulled herself back, landing on both feet, though stumbling back. Her fire magic fading, and going out. The markings disappeared rapidly as well. Taken back, she lost her breath, dropping to one knee. Rae had used to much power, a continuing problem she has been running into. She cursed beneath what breath she had, regaining the rest within a short time period. This stranger wouldn't defeat her!
It was hard to move, her body stiff and resistant to continue fighting. Her skin turning sensitive, she stood, about to attack him again, only a few meters from him. The only thing stopping her from continuing her rage was a small wound on her upper side that tore. A quiet cry sounded in her throat as her Zen Blade dropped from her hand, hitting the ground. When her weapon hit the dirt beneath them, Rae collided with the wolven stranger, landing against his firm chest. She heard his sword drop as well, which left her confused, though her sight was blackening, sound fading as well.
Colliding with a stranger... it didn't seem as bad as one would think it would be... It didn't even seem as if this man was a stranger at all. Though where would she have ever seen him in the past? She only remembered the last three years of nothing but travel and suffering. Constant running, and tiresome ways of surviving, such as stealing, and slaughter, like now... Though now that everything is black, it doesn't seem so bad...

As she studied him through narrowed eyes, full of hate, he couldn't help but see how tired she must be, She will be no challenge now . . . . I cannot fight her, his eyes softened in the slightest, though only for a moment before fire engulfed her hands. He was about to speak when she leaped toward him and forced him to draw Shadow in his defense. It was a split second's decision to be sure he did not harm her.
She leaped back just as fast, the fire in her hands dying out, and dropping to a knee to show him just how exhausted she was. His auds flicked in annoyance at her stubbornness, though he had to respect her will to fight to the end. Though today, her end would not come if he had anything to do with it.
As she stood to attack him again, he raised his sword to be ready to fend her off, though there was no need. The attack did not come as he heard the small cry she let loose, his auds twitching as he lowered Shadow once more. Her weapon dropping from her hand, she fell against him, much to his surprise. Auds folding back and feeling slightly awkward, Shadow dropped from his grasp as some instinct caused him to wrap his arms around her to keep her from falling.
He could tell she was almost completely out, and probably would be within a few moments. Looking down at her for a short while, he blinked, lifting her with one arm while stooping to retrieve both their weapons and awkwardly leaping back to the roof from which he had come. There was only one quite obvious choice in his mind at the moment, and that was to help her. To do so, he would need to return 'home' . . . back to Okesha.
As he entered through the balcony as he had left, Okesha was soon rushing to him, though soon stopped, noticing the woman in his arms. Laying her upon his bed, he finally dropped her sword and sheathed Shadow, sighing and sitting beside her. Rubbing his temples lightly at the throbbing in his head, he muttered, "She's hurt . . . a wound in her side. If you wouldn't mind, I'd appreciate it if you'd help her," he told Okesha. At her questioning look, he only shook his head, "I only thought that once she was healed, she might make for a good dueling partner, since you're impossible . . . . I'm going to bed," he stood and walked away, to Okesha's room, closing the door behing him and leaving her to work on a woman she had never even seen before.
Stuttering at Neo's abruptness, she growled, but knew she could never just stand her and watch someone suffer. If this girl needed help, she would help her as much as she could. Growling again, she knew Neo knew the she would think that way. Sometimes she hated the fact that she was so considerate . . . . Sighing, she resigned herself to her ways and began lightly cleaning the wound and getting it ready for dressing.

It had been around an hour since Okesha had helped the wound on Rae's side. Now she was sitting over by the window, petting Kiron, speaking to him softly. Something that Rae slowly tuned in to, a soft buzz, coming from someone friendly, and calm. She smelt something sweet, and yet musty in the air, rain pattering outside in the cool air of the City. Opening her eyes, she quickly adjusted to the dim lighted room, looking up toward the ceiling. With the buzz more clear, Rae could hear the voice of a girl, but also the panting of some sort of animal. She sat up to look for them, her eyes pin-pointing the girl at the window with a wolf pup. Oddly, she noticed a glimmer of light slide down her cheek, before the girl realized she was awake. She glanced to the bed, wiping of her cheek and attempting a friendly smile.
"How is your wound?" the girl asked. This question caused Rae to look down at it, raising her arm, and removing the bandage. The wound was gone, fully healed, and not even a scar was left in its place. Astonished, the girl's eyes flickered, then softened again, "I see..." she answered herself. Rae looked away from her, setting aside the bandage and speaking. "Who are you?" she demanded quietly, her eyes sharp and questioning, though showing mercy upon this girl who helped her. Before she answered the first question though, she added another, "Where is that wolf demon? He..." though she cut off, placing a hand on her head, cringing from a striking headache.
As she tended to soothe her aching head, the girl spoke and answered the questions given, she even introduced her pup. Once the ache left, Rae got up off the bed, Okesha instisted she rested some more, though Rae ignored her request, walking to the door of the girl's room. Okesha fell silent when Rae placed her hand square on the door, growling. Her hand slide down onto the knob, turning it and opening the door, quickly, though quietly, hissing at first. Though her eyes softened, her hand dropping and the door hitting the wall with a loud thud. She stood there, looking at him, sitting at the edge of the bed, head in his hands. He didn't sleep at all, just sat there and thought, hit swords freshly sharpened, a whet stone sitting beside them.
When he looked up at her, her eyes sharpened again, growling at him, Okesha standing up from the window, Kiron jumping down and howling a quietly. "Why didn't you kill me." she asked angrily, her voice peircing the ears and biting them like frost. A question that wasnt hard to answer, though odd to ask. When he said nothing at first, she stomped her foot, and bared her teeth, "Why!" she growled again, Okesha flinching back. Neo kept a straight face, one of both frustration and annoyance. Though Rae waited impatiently for his answer.

Sitting by the window and waiting for the woman to awaken, she attempted to continue holding back the tears she had held back while working on her side. She had to have clear eyes then, or else she could make a mistake, but now . . . . Kiron sat beside her, nuzzling her arm slightly in question and concern. She gave a dim smile toward him, and began petting him, taking comfort in his soft fur as the first tear rolled down her cheek.
She spoke quietly to Kiron, having no one else who would listen to her, "Why does he care more about strangers than he does about me? Why does he hate me so much? What did I do, what have I done to deserve his hatred?" She really wasn't sure if he hated her or not, but it sure seemed like it a lot of the time, and it's how she felt now . . . .
Though as the woman sat up from Neo's bed, she quickly wiped the tears away and asked about her wound. When she had showed her that there was no longer any wound to worry about, her brow furrowed thoughtfully, but she was soon interrupted from her thoughts by the woman's newly asked questions, which she promptly answered.
The moment she stood, Okesha instantly became worried, "Your wound might be healed, but you're still tired. Please, rest . . . ." Though she could tell the woman wasn't listening, or didn't care. How similar that seemed to Neo's own attitude toward her. She sighed and sat back, watching her.
He had been sitting upon the bed the whole time, Soon after entering the room taking out his swords and beginning to sharpen them, pushing away his turmoiled thoughts. He had only just finished with Shadow and sat with his head in his hands, sharpening them had not helped as much as it usually did. Something in him was restless, something in his mind that he couldn't quite place.
As he heard Okesha's voice, he realized the woman he had brought back must be awake, and as his door thudded open, he realized his assumption was right. At her words, he looked up at her dryly. That stubborn streak was back, and it was slightly annoying considering he had just helped her. In response to his silence, she prompted him with a growled 'why?' Growling softly himself, he tried to remain calm, which wasn't easy with the state of mind he was in at the time. Narrowing his gaze at her, his annoyance would not allow his reply to be kind or considerate, "I didn't kill you because you wouldn't have been a challenge, but a quick and easy kill. Where's the fun in that? Instead I brought you back here so you can heal and I could have a real fight with you, though maybe you won't be much of a challenge to kill anyway!" he snarled back at her. Truly, he had no intention of killing her, not before and not now and not ever. But he was too frustrated with her at the moment to really care about what he said.

To his insult, Rae's nose tightened, her eyes thinning to slits, showing her anger towards him. Holding no emotion back, she stiffly walked around the bed, facing him in a frontal view. She stood for only a few moments before abruptly snatching the cloth of his collar, pulling him closer, so he looked into her eyes, her angry eyes. It stayed that way for only a moment until she jerked him back onto the bed, releasing air through her teeth to releive some pressure.
"You should talk." she grumbled, "Those wounds were nothing..." she soon trailed off, turning away and grabbing her weapons from the chair beside the bed. After she gathered the rest of her belongings, she stalked out of the room, bumping shoulders with Okesha. Rae ignored the light thud against the wall, and didn't apologize either. Kiron whimpered a little, though it was obvious Okesha was alright. Rae stopped at the window, looking out to still see hard rain falling from a dark sky.
She heard Okesha's footsteps go to the back of the room, and her light voice asking if Neo was alright. The question made Rae sick, a growl humming in her throat. Though what angered her more is when she heard Neo yelling at her, when she did nothing to him. Such a generous girl did not deserve the treatment, though it wasn't Rae's place to stop him, even though she easily could. Rae turned her head so she could see the two of them in the back room, watching Okesha stress herself to see if he was alright.
"I... I just wish to know if you're...---" "Leave Me Alone!" Though after that Okesha silenced, bowing her head sorrowfully, and complied, slowly walking out of the room, and gently closing the door. Rae only stared as the young girl walked to the edge of Neo's bed, Kiron following close behind. She reached down and took the one item Rae was missing into her hand. Letting it rest in her palm, she reached up and hoped she'd take it gently. Rae was surprised Okesha was still so nice after everything that just happened.
"Take it, please..." Her voice was unclear, though Rae noded slowly, even if Okesha's head was bowed as she couldnt see her gesture. Rae placed her hand over the necklace, sliding it off Okesha's hand, and dropping it into one of her pockets. Though as Okesha's hand dropped, it was caught in mid fall, a gasp slipping through the girl's lips. Rae looked down at her sternly for a while, Kiron barking quietly. "I thank you, Okesha." she said quietly, Okesha's face lighting up for the rare graditude she had just recieved. From the expression on her face, Rae gave her a dim smile, before she turned to open the door, letting her hand go.
--- Though Rae turned stiff, her smile turning to a concrete scowl, backing up before Okesha and drawing her sword to bold footsteps on the other side of the door. Kiron growled deeply, for the little pup he was. Considering Okesha had animal senses, Rae didn't have to guess that she heard the sounds too. Rae quickly glanced back to the closed door on the other side of the room, snarling to herself. Stuborn Hound...!, she thought. Though thought's were cut off from the door abruptly openning, a buff man in armor making his way into the room.
Rae bared her teeth to him, as he only chuckled, happy to know he found who he was looking for. "My master will be happy to know I found you." he said, Rae now curious as to who this 'Master' figure was supposed to be. Unfortunately, she knew it wasn't the group of drunks, she killed all of those... Maybe they weren't just drunks... She growled, feeling so confused, what if the pendant was just a trap to find her location...? Rae became frustrated, though she kept the girl behind her. The man stared down at her, pleased with not only her looks, but glad she wasn't too damaged so that he could do it himself and drag her to his master in as many peices as he chose.
One more thing to wonder about, how does this master figure even know who Rae is? There wasn't anything special about her at all... Or so she thought. Then again, if she was, how could someone know more about her that herself?..... Ugh, this made her head hurt more than it did arguing with that fowl dog in the back room! This day isn't getting any better.
"Quit staring, idiot." Rae mumbled, looking bored with him already. The insult made his face turn red in anger, his hand squeezing the hilt of his sword. Making himself look to fit her description, with his red face, she laughed at him, just to piss him off. Of which caused him to let out a sound of rage, swinging his sword downward, aiming straight for her head. His sword made it's way into a lock against her Zen Blade. Though his larger sword knocked hers away, slashing her across the chest. Instinctively she grabbed her chest, the man in armor giving out a laugh. "What was that?!" Rae backstepped into Okesha's grasp. Though Rae only laughed with him...
Confused, the man stopped laughing, his expression of pure confusion. He just wounded her, and she was laughing? Rae bowed her head, holding out her hand, her Zen Blade whisped upward, back into her hand. Imediately, her blade peirced through both his armor, and his skin, comming out the other side as well. Shocked with a sudden blade in his shoulder, he broke into a sweat, his eyes bulging in fear. Though looked over to the window, and laughed, more of his troops breaking through and filling in with their weapons, making him confident in himself.
With the boost of esteem and adrinilen, he ripped the sword from his shoulder and tossed it back to one of his men. Rae didn't expect this, though her chest wound was luckily healing. Okesha's expression turned into a scowl, she wouldn't be afriad of such things. Kiron's size trippling, then doubling over, until the size of a horse, snarling at anyone who got too close to Okesha. Rae looked back to the girl, growling deeply, "Where the hell is that hound!" Just as she exclaimed, Okesha gasped, the door to her room splindering, Neo blasting through it and hitting the ground with a few grunts.
"Master Honzo will be very pleased, once I bring you three back with me." Rae growled deeply, snapping "I'm not going anywhere." stepping back, she pulled out her Black Diamond blade, adding "I've had enough!" as she advanced him. As Okesha jumped onto Kiron, she grabbed her bow and quiver. The beast roared, ripping up two soldiers and knocking over a line of them. The armored Commander swung at her again, this time, her Black Daimond slicing right through his trashy toy. Along with his sword, his shiny armor hit the ground in two seprate peices.
He growled snatching Zen from the soldier, other troops trying to attack Kiron and Okesha, Neo slicing them down in numbers, others falling from being stuck by arrows. As they kept falling, pools of blood stained their once fair home, and it was all Rae's fault. Grimacing, she felt a twing in her side, her blade being knocked from her hand. Out of surprise, "Ugh!" air was knocked from her lungs, her eyes hazing as she was pinned to the wall with her own weapon, dropping Black Diamond... She watch as Okesha fell off Kiron, luckily not badly wounded, but she was out cold. Kiron still protected her, ripping men apart. At the moment, Neo was the only one still free and able to fight.
Rae growled, the Commander laughing in her face, thinking he had her finished, and could do whatever he wanted. Though he thought Very wrong. Rae suddenly slammed her leg between his thieghs, hearing him squeel like the weakling he was. Next, she forced Zen out of her stomach, slitting his thoat and letting him fall to his knees, as Neo finished off the rest of who didnt run. She still didn't like him, regardless if he was a great fighter or not.
Kicking away the bodies, and pushing them against the wall to make room, she then when over and held out her hand for Kiron to calm down. Of which happened quite quickly. While Neo went to check outside for others, Rae bent down beside Okesha, supporting her shoulders with her arm, her head falling back. Rae looked toward the door, then yelled, "Okesha, she needs you, you jerk!" Growling, she remained with the girl, partially holding her, waiting for Neo to come back.

Stopping just outside the door, Flame dripping with blood and Shadow ready to defend from any stupid enough to have stayed behind, his black auds perked to catch sounds of the enemy, though all he heard was Rae calling him a jerk. Auds twitching in annoyance, he rolled his eyes and returned indoors to where Rae held Okesha's unconscious body. The scent of blood was completely overwhelming, awakening the bloodlust he had inherited from his father. Shaking his head to clear his senses, he growled, "You really don't wanna mess with me right now, woman," and dropped down beside Okesha to judge her condition, sheathing his swords, for now.
Light wounds, a bump on her head from falling off Kiron. She was lucky for not having more. Sometimes he wondered if she would even still be alive today if not for Kiron. Muttering, "She's so hopeless in a fight," under his breath, he gathered her up from Rae and laid her on his bed, "Should just stick to healing and playing with Kiron . . . ."
Shaking his head in frustration, he turned back to Rae, still to annoyed to care to ask her what her name was, or tell him his own. He glared down at her momentarily, only to find her glaring back at him with the same heated intensity, or more, though he refused to admit it. Growling again, he finally spoke, his voice gruff, "Why did those men come here? Did they want you for something? Who are you!" He demanded. Her lip curled over one fang to show her anger before she snarled, "How the hell should I know why those idiots came here!-"
"Oh, well at least we know you don't know everything!" he snarled right back at her. She stared at him as though she couldn't believe she was still in the same room with him, and it gave him a small jolt of satisfaction to know she was just as annoyed and frustrated as he was. She opened her mouth to retaliate, thought better of it, and just growled, "Look . . . ," taking a deep breath in an attempt to calm down, she continued, "I heard the one mention his 'Master Hanzo' . . . name mean anything to you?"
"I've never even heard- . . . ," but all of a sudden the name sounded incredibly familiar, but form where? Memories, Okesha in a cage, Aura with her, himself and Raven . . . the man, (Zenith, was that his name?) had mentioned a Hanzo . . . Master Hanzo . . . yeah . . . it had to be the same, the same guy! The realization that the men now laying dead on his floor were somehow connected to the man who murdered Raven put him into a slight shock. He could to nothing but stand there and stare ahead of him at something only he could see . . . .

Rae focused on him when he paused, her scowl of anger changing more to a look of curiosity. She slowly stood, though once she did, she grimaced, loosing focus all together, instinctly clenching her hand over the fresh wound on her stomach, her back slamming against the wall, her free hand bracing herself. Taking a deep breath, she shook it off, her eyes a bit lazy while looking back up to Neo. "So have you or not. . . why did you stop?" she demanded, fighting the sting from her wound as she attempted walking.
She noticed him glaring at her, when he answered her. Though after his reply, his eyes softened more than anytime before, as if she was some other person. Though his stare was warming, she scowled at him, "What are you staring at, Wolfboy?. . ." she asked, causing his expression to harden, making him turn away. Grunting lightly, she looked down at Okesha, Kiron had turned into his pup size again, snuggling up beside her. It was a sight that would nudge at someones heart, making them wish it could be her recieving such love and affection.
"We have to leave, Neo, and soon. We can't stay here anymore. They'll find us again, whoever the hell they are. . . and they'll kill us." The last part of what she said was quieter, considering she didn't ever want to say such a thing. She was usually too proud to admit that she could be defeated, something that both Neo and Rae probably had in common.
She then added, "Leaving once Okesha wakens. . . ." would be best. . . Her voice died out as her vison blackened, stumbling forward before catching herself. ". . . would be best." she repeated, unsure if she finished her sentence before, or not. She looked up at him as he stared again, though this time his expression was solid and stern. She then heard him "You really think you can travel like that? You can barely-. . ."
She snarled, "I can stand fine!" she stared back a while, then added, "Besides, we don't have a choice." Rae then sat at the edge of Neo's bed, avoiding Okesha and sighing. "Why would you care anyway. . ." she muttered, looking away.

Blinking away his shock as she stood and caught herself from falling back again against the wall, his glare returned as she asked again, "I've heard of him afterall . . . ," he growled, fists clenching before the pain of remembering that day filled his eyes and he looked slightly away from her as she made her comment about his staring, willing her not to have seen what he knew must have been so obvious. Closing his eyes briefly, the pained look quickly faded to replaced with his usual harsh glare as he looked to Okesha.
Hearing her speak again, his auds twitched at her last words. None of them would be dying while he was around, not anymore, he wouldn't allow it. He knew it would be best, and that waiting for Okesha to wake up was about all the time they could spare, though as she stumbled his eyes narrowed at the reality of it. He wondered if she would even be able to travel, and began to voice his concern when her snarled interuption came instead.
Surprised by the new softer tone when she sat beside Okesha on his bed, his auds folded back to press against his head. Why would he care? He turned away from her, auds pressed hard against his head, his eyes closed briefly. For once when he spoke, his voice was quiet, not so harsh, "Too many people . . . die around me . . . because of me," though his last few words were barely a whisper, his hands clenching to fists, "If I can help it," he went on, his voice becoming harder as he turned back to her, "I'd rather avoid more death." Pausing shortly, he sighed, "I agree with you that we should leave as soon as possible . . . but that includes having you ready to travel as well," his tone firm.
The first sign of Okesha's waking was a slight twitch of her furry brown auds and a soft groan. Her eyes blinking open, she murmured, " . . . Neo . . . ?" Her gaze slowly focused on him, standing a short distance away from her. At her murmuring his name, he had turned to look at her, his own auds twitching. Carefully, she propped herself up on her elbows, slowly looking from Neo to Raven, her auds pressed tightly against her head. Silent momentarily, questions running through her mind finally began to make themselves into words, "What . . . what are you doing? What happened?" Tensing, she sat up further, her head starting to pound and one eye closing against the pain, "Those men . . . what did they want . . . where did they go . . . ?" Her one open eye now moved from Raven back to Neo.

Rae's eyes focused on Okesha sitting up, piling questions onto her already aching head. Shaking her head, she looked to the girl frontally, sitting up more to face her. As much as her body ached, and reeked of blood, it didn't much matter, considering the smell of blood was everywhere from the dead bodies rotting in the very same room. Doing her best to ignore it, she attempted answering with a simple phrase to end her questions for the time being.
"We aren't sure, Okesha. . ." Luckily, the girl quieted momentarily due to the stressful expression on both Rae's and Neo's faces. If something had to be explained to her, she was leave it to Neo, knowing she wasn't in the right condition to answer constant questions. For the most part, Rae was barely paying attention to what exactly she was asking, but the tone. She was paying more attention to the warm and wet feeling creeping around her body, the thought of losing blood annoying. She had lost enough already, the wounds didn't even really hurt too much, with the exception of moving. . .
Kiron peeked open one eye, awakening from his little puppy nap, noticing Okesha sitting upright, tense and concerned about what had happened. To attempt to calm her at the slightest, he popped up, padding over to her and curling in between her arm and side, setting in her lap, looking up at her, his eyes saying, 'pet me, if it makes you feel better.'
Rae watched Kiron move and look up to the young wolf-girl, then looked over to Neo, her eyes softening a bit more than before, "I must admit, she has amazing timing." finishing what she had to say with a dim smile. Sighing, Rae stood from the bed, cringing, and flinching back, hiding her face by turning away from them both. "We have to. . get going." she pushed from clenched teeth as she took a few strong steps toward the splintered door. Painfully, she bent down, picking up her weapons, and strapping them to her.
She then stood back up, glancing down at the wound that was making things so much harder for her. She was feeling so tired, probably due to her body trying to heal itself so quickly, she could tell it was smaller, but it was still a problem. She turned around, noticing that all three of them haven't moved yet, only stood and sat, watching her with such eyes. . . she hated the look they gave her. Both Okesha and Kiron gave her an expression of pain and concern, and Neos look was worst of all, eyes yelling that she wasn't going anywhere with such a wound.
Rae became annoyed, placing a hand over the wound, raising her voice, "Okesha's fine now, why aren't you moving?. . ." silence filled the room, making her continue, "Stop staring, I'm Fine!" She growled, stressing herself out more for how stubborn she was being. She then frowned with pained eyes, her bluff fading quicker than she wanted. Her eyes blurred, and she knew Neo started walking toward her. He gradually came closer as she reluctantly fell into him. Though she caught herself in the midst of blacking out, refusing to show such weakness infront of anyone.
She picked herself up and pulled away from the wolfman. She had to pull through only a few more days, and it wasn't much since she could heal faster than normal.
"Let's us go."

Growling, he consented, knowing they had to get going before more men came for them. He had gotten away with little less than scratches, but he could see that Okesha was a little confused after hitting her head and Rae was in no condition to fight again.
"Fine," he looked down at Okesha, They both need more rest . . . ! Looking back to Rae, he blew out his breath and turned to leave, "We'll need to stop for supplies before we leave Darkon." Footsteps behind him let him know they were following.
Walking the streets, he was wary of the shadows, black auds perked and alert, twitching at every unknown sound. As they rounded a corner, noise from down the street alerted him to the presence of a tavern filled with people, even this late at night. His lip curled slightly at the thought of entering, but then, where else could they hope to find supplies at this time?
He paused at the door, bracing himself against the noise, Damn it . . . I hate people . . . . He looked back at Rae and Okesha, holding Kiron close, and made his way inside. The smell of alcohol was almost enough in itself to get drunk on, at least to his and Okesha's sensitive nares.
Attempting to ignore the noise and smell, he made his way to the bar to negotiate for supplies. To the left, a man sat drinking, though he already looked half drunk. Neo noticed him eying Rae and Okesha with interest until another woman walked by, sat beside him. He turned to her, speaking quietly for only a moment before she suddenly slapped him in the face, got up once more and stalked away. Neo just tried to ignore his presence, finding his behavior unimpressive, Drunken pervert.

As the chick stalked away, he instinctively rubbed his now pink cheek, completely appalled by what she did. He stood abruptly, crookedly pointing at the girl, "What did I say wrong?" pausing he looked around, finding himself the new center of attention amungst the few people spread out within the tavern. He specifically noticed two stunning girls who had just arrived starring at him, along with some stiff guy dressed in black. He hadn't even remembered he just eyed them simply a minute ago, but it didn't really matter since he didn't remember.
Furyk took a minute to just imagine those two in some serious three some action with him. With his cheeks already slightly pink from various slapping and just being drunk in general, his face reddened a little from the thought. He snickered devilishly to himself before attempting to show off and slicking back his hair and winking at Okesha, the hot brunette wolfgirl. They were his favorite, well, at least they were tonight, though every woman was his favorite tonight. It was quite a sad sight to see.
Walking into the most probable place Rae hated more than anywhere, her wounds stung horribly, though she sucked it up, especially if she would have to fight any new drunks. She followed Neo beside Okesha with a bit of a slow pace, keeping an arm wrapped around her waist to make her more stable as her wounds took their time too heal. Stopping behind the black-haired halfbreed once he got to the bar, a young woman passed rushedly between them, a blonde man yelling after her leave and making himself fully noticed.
She recalled him eyeing both her and Okesha when they entered, though doing it again within the same time period was a little aggravating. Rae glared at him as he winked at Okesha, then growled beneath her breath how pathetic he was. She didn't admit to herself that he was well built, the cause was most likely the level of his toxicity.
Hoping he's got a good shot at this short brunette hottie, he puts on a cocky smirk, and walks around the table. For a drunk, Furyk certainly had outstanding posture when walking. He had perfect balance, though that never helped with the thick smell of alcohol on his breath that drove most people away. For some reason, he just knew that this one would work, almost perfectly. Though his drunken thoughts of hope and success were highly confused with the painful truth.
Once he got to the cute brown-eared babe, he leaned on the bar counter, then opened his mouth, speaking fairly clear, "So, are you really as furry as you look, or could I get a closer view?"

Okesha watched the woman who had slapped the man at the bar stalk away, immediately wary of him as soon as she had heard her hand hit his face, hard. For the time being, she only tried to ignore him, used to having men look at her in such a way as he was. She sighed, suddenly wishing more men were like Neo . . . even if he did ignore her sometimes, at least it was better than being molested or . . . .
He caught his wink at her, though deliberately turned away, trying to ignore him further so he wouldn't get any ideas, though it seemed he could get plenty of ideas on his own without her help as he got up and walked over. Still, she tried civilly to just ignore him, though as he got closer, instinctively she took a step back, somewhat behind Rae. As he spoke, she couldn't believe her own ears at what spewed from his mouth. Did he truly expect that to attract her? Instead she was beyond disgusted, her auds flattened against her head and a look of dismay on her face as she would now have to deal with him face to face rather than just ignore him.
Kiron, still in her arms, seemed to feel her upset because she could feel his fur bristling angrily. All she wished to do right now was to run outside, have Kiron change to his larger form, and fly far away on his back. For now, though, all she did was hold him a bit tighter, "Uh . . . ."
Having had enough of this guy, lucky for Okesha, he came to her rescue, putting himself in between Furyk and both women behind him, for the most part blocking them from view, "Go find someone else's sister to harass already! Can't you see she's not interested in a pathetic drunk like you?" Mostly he was just annoyed with this guy in general, not just protecting his sister's honor as most would think. Damn! This guy reeks of alcohol! he could barely stand to be in such close proximity with him, the smell of this place was starting to mess with his mind, Maybe I am getting drunk off the fumes . . . where the hell is the the woman who went to get me supplies? He growled in frustration. If this guy wanted a fight, he would certainly be up for it right about now . . . this whole night was becoming so agitating.
