Their first night in Darkon for around 2 years, Selys, now 18, finally convinced Syrus that after 2 years with no sign of his other side since his fight with Kye, it was safe for them to be together. As usual, Syrus was reluctant to do more than kiss her, though Selys soon convinced him to do otherwise, having grown into her body more in 2 years time. In the midst of night, the two lay awake in each other's arms, reveling in what they had found in their love, Selys flushed slightly and regaining breath. As of yet, the usually talkative girl had no words.
He kissed her forehead and held her tighter, his love for her stronger than he ever thought it could be. His other side had been gone, completely, for 2 years now, and they could finally be together like they wanted, free of the fear that he would hurt her, free of the constant take-overs and massacres. What more could he hope for than this?
He kissed her forehead a few more times, nuzzled into her hair, breathing her sweet scent, "I don't know what I'd do without you," he murmured, kissing the top of her head as well. She pressed closer to him, her skin against his, and he longed to lose himself in her once more, but he knew she would be tired . . . it was her first time after all.
"I love you, Selys," he whispered, as though, spoken any louder, his words would shatter the night.
She sighed contentment, she had never dreamed of something like this, that it could be like this. Her lips pressed against his chest once before she worked her way, slowly, up to his lips, her arms wrapping around his neck as the passionate kiss continued.
"I love you . . . so much . . . ," he had rolled slightly so she could rest her head upon his chest, and so she did. Life couldn't be better. No sign from his other side, this night, their love, and tomorrow they would travel to see Kye and Altaire as well as their children. She was excited to finally find out what they had been named, they had left before that particular decision. After all, she had helped to give them life, why wouldn't she be entitled to a visit, at least one? Everything was going so well, so right . . . .
Although, it would change all too soon.
