Name: Yumi
Age:
Species:
Gender: Female
Region: Everywhere
Position: 2 of 7
Element: Water
Weapons: A bow, named Hoshiki, meaning Starshine.
Personality: Yumi is one who may be too quiet, her eyes always look like she is in pain, clouded and blank. Depression is her main source of power, the more her heart aches, the more power she can use. When not fighting, she feels she needs to be alone, even if it's not what she really wants. She cries frequently, and always replies to conversations with something more negative then necessary. Its as if she doesn't know happiness, joy, and bliss.
History: Though she has locked the memories away in the black of her mind, there is still something there, and in truth, it is what she cries about all the time, even if she doesn't know it. Hanzo found her at a beach, near Aquadin, sitting on the sand, in the rain. Though it was raining, there wasn't a storm, therefore people still went swimming, though it wasn't a smart idea. Sensing her power, he wanted to see what she would do, keeping his distance for the moment. The children, parents, and teens in the water, began to panic as the water took hold of them. The ones that could actually bend water, could do nothing against her power. Some started screaming, waves hitting them hard enough to break their bones. As they drown, she only stared at the sand blankly, her eyelids barely enough to keep back tears. . . Hanzo acted then, and took her in with comfort.
- - - Childhood - - -
Raised only by the love of her mother, her father was much more interested in his clan, considering he was the leader of it. The Akane Kasume Clan, or "The Dark red Mist" Clan, known for their skills in water bending, and how they leave their victims soaked in both water, and blood. On the day of their anniversary, they decided to have a little fun, her daddy promising the boys a special treat. Yumi and her mother were making dinner in their small, but cozy house, with a deck in the back. Her father was eyeing the both of them eerily as he sat at the table, though Yumi turned away and ignored it.
By the time supper was almost ready, her father abruptly stood from the table, taking her mother by the hair and whispering something in her ear, Yumi backing away from the two, her eyes widening when she noticed blood dripping to the floor. A knife was shoved into her back, her father the cause of it. To think that her own father would take away the only thing Yumi had, it was terrible. Watching her mother drop to the floor, dying, she shook her head, trembling in fear, turning to run away, her father catching her in her attempt.
"Nuh ah, ah. I have a special use for you, my dear. . . Come Here! ! !" He yelled, pushing her down to the floor, ripping off her bottoms, and tying her ankles, and mouth. As for her wrists, she was fighting his grip, his strength overpowering her, and breaking one of her arms. He was treating her like a prisoner he never knew, nor cared for. His eyes. . . the glare that laughed at her fear, loving every bit of it. He picked her up, slinging her over his shoulder, taking her to the clan hideout, throwing her on the floor.
"Here yah go, Boys. Happy anniversary." And to that, he stared down at his trembling little girl, her eyes swollen with tears, her broken arm, and her bare legs. . . That night was the most horrific night of her entire life, getting raped twice by each member of the clan. By the time they were done with her, she was barely conscious, and useless to them. Though feeling the way she did now, she only wished her father killed her at home with her mother. But he had other plans, perfect to just make her suffer more.
She didn't want to do anything but cry, though she didn't, after getting raped, she didn't cry, she didn't even winch, enduring enough pain to make her numb. Since the hideout was located near the docks, there was enough water around the building to cover up their terrible crime. Two of the men took her to the edge of one of the decks connected to the building. They simply gave her an ugly glance, and tossed her into the water to drown. Feeling too numb to fight it, she accepted her dead, only wishing to be with her mother. . . Then things went black. . .
Though, she opened her eyes again, breathing. . . breathing in water, and not drowning. She felt a tingling feeling within her arms, her fingers twitching. The water twirled through the knots in her ties, releasing her from her captivity. Now that she was free, she stayed there for a while, thinking about the horror she had just been through that whole night, and all of it what her fathers fault. . . No longer would this happen, and the anniversary would be the end of the whole damned clan!
In her anger, the water surrounding her spun as she shot up, her eyes fogged and glowing, her fury easily showing. While water flowed beneath her, keeping her up, she twirled her arms, to make the waves follow her, men rushing out on the docks, yelling in confusion. She gave one insane smile as she saw her fathers fear, and ended everything in one wave, crushing everyone. After wards, dropping back into the water, washing up on the beach not too far away, feeling almost dead. . .
Though before dawn, she pushed herself up, limping and making her way into her small town, though she was too tired to get back home, dropping herself into a small ally, her arm still broken, and her legs raw. . . Though that pain was nothing compared to the ache from her heart. . . Though she had forgotten what happened, other that the water, that had saved her from. . . something.
